This video gives a much more truthful picture of what it’s like to assemble this sort of shelving than the manufacturers’ overly optimistic demos.
Thank you I was ok until step 10 and putting the beam ties in as nowhere did it say to bend then slot then bend again. Phew you saved me lots of frustration!👏👏👏👏
My instructions were none existent ...made IKEA furniture instructions look simple. I wouldn’t have managed without this video. Many thanks for having the foresight to do one and post on KZread.

For anyone watching . . . The L shape things he mentioned @15:25 are to connect the two shelves side by side tight next to each other. To do that, put the L shape upside down with the circle on the top and facing inward towards the the shelf (as the connectors can connect from the front or the back of the shelve) Then slot 1 side to one shelve and the other side on the other shelve so they thight next to each other. Hope that helps. It took me forever to figure it out! AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR VIDEO IT HELPED ALOT
Straight to the point with no drama thank you 👍 my shelves were about 30 minutes away from getting thrown out for scrap men the instructions you get with these are useless
Thank you for your time and effort to make this video and share your knowledge with us. Greetings from Croatia.

This was exactly what I needed! Kept putting off building them as the paper instructions were so vague. Thank you!
I just finished building this with my bf using this tutorial. I was pissed off because I thought the shelf set was shipped without a manual. It was when we lifted the last two planks that it was slipped in between. 😅 No matter, this video was way better than the manual included. Many, many thanks for this helpful video.

Thank you, I had no instructions either. The video was great, I spent an hour putting one together properly rather than all day to put one together, badly
Thank you. I did struggle when I started to assemble and then put them away thinking it is too difficult. Then I watched your video and tried again. Bingo!!
Thank you so much, mine came without instructions and without your video, I wouldn't have had a clue.
you saved me from a mental breakdown! I never have any issue with IKEA but no instructions at all came with my shelveing and it was a mindboggler of what to do first! cheers

Many thanks GS. This looks pretty much identical to the one I'm about to order from Amazon.. King’s Rack 5-Tier Steel Storage Rack Boltless Shelving Tier Height Adjustable 42" W x 16" D x 72" H ... Thanks to you I don't have to re-invent the wheel. I have managed somehow (don't ax me how) to survive for 4 decades without a rubber mallet. I guess I'm off to Harbor Freight to pick one up. Again, super thanks from Alabama!
This demo was (because I don't think I could have done it with the instructions I received) absolutely fantastic... Thanks Man 🙋🏾♂️

Thank you so much, I have the exact same shelving. The pamphlet that came with it was so bad could hardly see the images. Didn't know whether to put the connectors on the outside (which I did to begin with) or what! I am over 70 and have arthritic hands, so not easy anyway. Having watched your video I know exactly what to do. Thank you so much. Also glad I was not the only one with some problems getting the ends in, screwdriver tip was so useful. thank you x
Great video. Many thanks. Saved me a lot of hassle I'm sure.
This video was a lifesaver. Everything went smoothly. Thanks!

Thank you, I'm planning on getting one from ebay so wanted to be sure how sturdy it is, looks pretty good, in a way some assembly furniture can be worth it, I always find it's 50/50, some are very annoying abd tedious or don't come with all the parts and then others come perfectly and a breeze. So thanks, I appreciate people like yourself, it's good of you to show us.
Thank you so much. I was lost without this video. 👍🏻 Instructions in package were useless.
Thanks a lot! I've lost my instruction, so yours video was very handy :)
I was on the brink of returning my shelving as the guide was unreadable as were the 4 pictures. I decided to look on You Tube to see - still not convinced as a pensioner + screwdriver I could do this! However, I decided to have a go as the return arrangements were as expensive as buying it! So I persevered & went bit by bit with this video - doing + pause - doing + pause! Still not sure if I used the screwdriver properly but opening up the holes worked. And it did take me 2 afternoons but Delighted! Thank you so much!

If ever there was a product I wished I hadn't bought - this would be it! Silly me, "slot together no screwdriver needed", why on earth did I think this would be simple? Mine came with no instructions, and not painted like yours, so really sharp to handle. Great video, thanks!
Thank you ...this is a Lifesaver!.Appreciate your time.

Hello from France I'm a French female. I was struggling for quite sometimes, because I had no idea how to install properly the smallest piece of metal bar, in the middle (time : 12:22). Even if it's a different model, (I bought it in France), stills it helped!!! Thanks you very much.

Thank you so much for this video! My units didn’t come with any instructions and as a single women with little DIY skills it was not all that easy. I managed to work out how the whole main frame went together but then I was left with some bars that I knew must have been to support the middle of the shelves but couldn’t work out for the life of me how they were meant to fit. I had no idea I was meant to bend the end parts of the bars and THAT’S!!! how they fitted into the slots until watching your video. I feel like a right dunce for not realising that as it makes total sense now lol. Thanks for your video, it was much appreciated by this little DIY-phobic lassie fae Scotland!

Thanks for the video! I have a converted attic which is my 'game room' slash office space and for the longest time I've had a little shoddy rack holding my laptop and PC games on that I'd been meaning to upgrade for a year or so now, saw these boltless shelves online and thought one might do the trick. After watching your video I went ahead and ordered one from ebay, 25 pounds shipped, 150x70x30, put it together and it looks fab in the corner! I actually had to cut the length of the legs down a little so the overall height went from 150cm to 110cm as the ceiling is angled at a certain height, but after doing that it fit the space perfect.

Thank You do much. This was a lifesaver as the instructions were useless.
Nice fit and enough room on the side for sheet material if you want to slide thin items in there. I got some similar racking but is more industrial as they were throwing it out from a site so I nabbed it! I bolted mine to the wall just gives it more stability. Nice video.

Thx this was very helpful. I have 8’of Thea to put together. The instructions are a very poor COPY and not very legible and the print is so tiny you can’t even read it. I did one already and looking at this realize I put it together totally wrong.. soooo the other seven will go together right! Thx again!!!!
Thanks very much. I was fairly confident with most of the assembly but could not work out what the 6 'spare' bits were! Probably are to fix it to the wall.
Thank you very good instructions.
Thanks for this - very informative and courageous. However, building one level at a time would be more beneficial than to its full height. Good effort 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

OH thank you, thank you, thank you. I had such a hissy fit and went to bed in a sulk after trying to fit that connector yesterday - not a good look for a 60 yr old. 'm going to take a diazepan now and try again today
No matter what I did, my "connectors" would not go in enough to make a clean joint. Its as if the slots weren't wide enough. I ended up making my own brackets. Other than that.... Jheez! What a Time consuming process. Feels like enough DIY to last a lifetime.
V v good Thanks

Thanks man .flat packs make my blood run cold .
My first go at one of these was a pain. I thought it would be easier than a bolted one. I was so wrong. :? Sorted it in the end though. Felt like gone a few rounds with Tyson afterwards and nearly launched it out the window in the middle of doing it. :D I'm good with flatpacks as well, but these were nasty and awkward. Nice when up though.
