Any medical school as long as you get in and affordable.. The success will depend on you when you become a doctor. Taking medical licensing exam. either in Philippines or USA depend upon you. A lot of people in US go to Carribean to study medicine since it is hard to get into US Medical School. Playing field is leveled when you pass the medical licensing exam.

It is problem based learning in WVSU. Tuition is around 30,000/semester. 75% of the slots are for those living in Region VI and only 25% are for outsiders. Usually there will only be 120 slots available. So, if you are from outside Region VI you will really need a very high NMAT score, a high grade and you should also do well in the interview.

Hi, Dr. Ian thanks for the videos. I worked as an RN BSN here in the US but wanted to pursue my education further to the MD program in the Philippines. The reason for not applying here in the country is that it is quite expensive and likely unaffordable. But it says the last date for 2020 NMAT registration was on January 14th, 2020. So, is there a way out that I get admitted to the medical college and later on take the NMAT exam. Also is it the MD program in the Philippines that is recognized or accredited by the American medical association and USMLE. Thank you. I will be waiting for your response Dr. Ian

Trivia lang po. There is no La Salle med school in manila. The med school of La Salle is located in Dasmariñas, Cavite which is called De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute

If you're well off,deserving and can handle the pressure of spending more, go to UST. Let's give slots to deserving but financially challenged to UP. I personally choose UST because of its high if not the highest standard of med school in the country. UST also has a larger network of alumni which I guess is usts advantage esp. when you graduate. UST and UP- you can never go wrong. Best med Schools in the country bar none.

Magastos po ba mula pre med course to doctor?

Silliman University is a very good school for medicine courses and it's more affordable than other private schools

Planning to study in WVSU and will try my hardest to get 90%+ in NMAT this march. My grades are low since my undergrad is chemical engineering, but i'll still try.

Kahit anong bachelor's degree po pwedeng gawing pre-med! Meron lang pong certain medical schools na nagrrequire na magkaroon kayo ng units in certain subjects (e.g. chem, bio, physics). Pero in general, basta may bachelor's degree and mag take kayo ng NMAT (National Medical Admissions Test), pwede na kayong mag apply. Please check the respective med schools' websites po, naka upload yung requirements nila doon :D

Gumagamit ng cadavers in many med schools, yes! Usually sa 1st or 2nd year for anatomy classes. Pero merong high-tech rin na med schools na may virtual human bodies hehe

NMAT is not a competitive exam but prerequisite MCAT for top medical college is the competitive.

It helps din if you show sa interview (kung meron) na well-rounded person ka kahit wala kang extracurriculars! Show them you have leadership skills, that you can work well in a group, and that you can balance your acads with other interests :) Give concrete examples if u can hehe hope this helps! you study it in college. premed is basically your 4yr+ undergrad course that you have to take before entering med school which can be any course (preferrably related to science) like nursing, pharmacy, medical technology, etc. which is needed before applying to med school

Far Eastern University, Manila Cantral University, University of the East Ramon Magsaysay, Southwestern University. Top universities usually prioritizes local students but these older schools has been training foreign medical students for quite a long time already. Be sure to study hard when you are admitted to these schools because they usually kick out poor performing students.

It’s an okay college but tend to rip you much money. UNP is government university that is cost effective because it’s government. Plus top notchers Dr love patel and topnotcher in 2013 and 2017 are products of this college.

Try contacting medical schools and they will tell you the requirements for foreign students. Try Manila Central University, Fatima University and Emilio Aguinaldo College i saw nigerian students there.
