How To Apply T-Post Clips I THE EASY WAY
Фильм және анимация
Welcome to Meaningful Life Homestead!
The most difficult part of our fence building process has been applying fence ties/clips to the wire fencing on our T-Posts. If it is your first time tying up wire fencing, you could be in for a real headache. Thankfully for you, I am sharing my tips and tricks in the episode in hopes of saving your the trouble. It is so important to secure your fence to the T-Posts properly in order to keep your livestock safe. I have found that by using the right clip bending tool and adopting a step by step application process, tying fence can actual be a breeze!

Lol, She found the most divers and handy tool EVER! made, and she calls it a Little Thingy. LoL I do not know how people did it before 1924, But I would like to thank William S. Petersen for the Vise-Grip. I'm sure this nice young Lady would as well, If she knew what Vise-Grips are called.
God bless you. Not all hero’s where capes. Almost went crazy this afternoon.

Goats want to help mama work on the fence. :-) My neighbors cats like to supervise my work.
THANK YOU! You just made my day a lot easier.. ty for getting straight to the point
Fence should be on the inside ant the post on the outside. That way the animals are pushing against the fence posts. The tool is a vise grip pliers. Adjust the grip with the screw on the end of the handle.
Thanks, great video and I love your attitude!
ou want to flip your posts around and have the posts on the outside of the fence. That will help hold the fence up by the goat pushing the fence into your t-posts instead of pushing it away. Fence on the outside of post keeps things out. Fence on the inside keeps things in. You did do it correctly with fence on the nubs of post. 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much. Very helpful.
Thanks. Good job. The clips I have are different but I am not sure the same tools might not work.
The tool is called a vice grip :).

You just saved. Me some money . Thanks!!! I'm a vietnam veteran,
Thanks sissy! I got this now!
I ran an elec wire alond the fence at goat hiigh, They don't do musch rubbing on the fence anymore
great video, thank you. what is the name of the gadget that you used? ( the one with the various holes)
Never had to do this type of work, but just by looking at what's involved, I would install the posts on the out side and wires on the inside with the small flat surfaces of the spikes on the post FACING UP so that wire can rest on them, thus keeping wire from slipping down the post when weight is applied to them. Feel free to correct me if its not correct to do so.

so you would rather have the fence inside out? Wouldn’t look as good
A fence fork for that particular clip you have is easy

yeah. i noticed that as well.🙂 I wasactually looking for an example of how to properly use Fence Pliers. It wont take long to find that. But, the jointed stick with the holes in it is a new one to me. Seems likely just a somewhat bent piece of rigid rod with hoes would work as well (depending on fence wire spacing). So far i have only needed to do a few (less than 10) at a time so i have been able to use slip joint or linemans pliers.
Bless your ❤

i take from your comment that "bless your heart" is not always a cut at someone. it is so often taken as sarcasm.
Cute ! Useful video...thanks young Lady ! Liked/Subscribed !
what brand of clips are those? the ones I bought just say pop on and push down. I then pinched the ends to keep them on the wire. these looks nice and tight so I'd like to know if I got something inferior. Thanks.

I purchased these through Tractor Supply when we bought our fencing. I believe they are Fence Fork Brand. They did not have a fence fork available at our location so I used what they had in store :)
Just subscribed!!! Where are you from. That accent reminds me of us here in VA.
That’s vise grips you found.
If you find that tool you could make one out of a piece of metal. Cut it to length drill a hole.
Vice grips. Works in the same principle as pliers

(locking/clamp pliers) invented in 1924 by William S. Petersen in De Witt, Nebraska and call ( Vise-Grip ) The most divers , handy and legendary tool EVER! known to the human race :D
I would be best to have your fence against your post (the animals will push against the fence)
A fence fork would've been a lot easier

You're pretty
They make a better tool for that style of clips that is much faster
In my humble opinion, your fence is installed incorrectly. The fence should be on the side of the post that you're trying to either keep the animals INSIDE or OUT. In other words, because you are trying to keep your goats INSIDE, you would have the posts installed OUTSIDE the fence.

@ Elliot Exactly right Elliot Because if the animals over time pushing on the fence It’s relying on the clips not the fence pushing against the post themselves

Maybe she keeps them on both sides. If not, you would be right on my place.
Generally, the fence is on the animal side and the t-posts are turned 180.
@crappie72

if you orient the fence components the way you describe the hooks on the post will be facing your animals , not good
@braunzie2
Жыл бұрын
@@crappie72 The push is from the animal side so the fence fabric must be on the inside of the post. Now the clip is twisted away from the inside and there is no risk of animal harm.
That is not how I do it....
If you don’t know the name of that tool maybe you shouldn’t be teaching this class😂😂😂

Fence should be on the animal side.
