great video, can we do inverse homogenization to get the desired properties of material by Abaqus?.

Hello, I cannot see why you should not be able to do inverse homogenization here. I have shown how for known microstructural constituent properties, you can use PBC (in this case based on a Force loading) to generate effective properties of the composite (globally). For inverse homogenization, you are trying to reverse what I have done. You properly will know some experimental data of the effective properties of the composite, then run this type of simulation (assuming some random microscale properties). In the end, you can generate the curve that matches what you ahve experimentally. The assumed microscale properties can then become you optimal microscale constituent properties. The big elephant in the room here is the 'assumed' and it goes to the question of how do you assume? Therefore, within the literature on inverse homogenization, some implementations like the Mori-Tanaka approach have been chosen to help you make that 'assumption' objectively. I hope this make sense.

Thanks for this. It's not straightforward to make such a video, but what might help is explain how one can do so in ABAQUS. This is something I can consider. Thanks.
