I iron from the backside too since the fabric is usually thinner than the patch and can heat through better

Draw around patch with dressmakers chalk to ensure correct placement. Better to use a damp t towel rather than dry! Steam helps to hydrate the glue on the back of the patch!

Do you have to peel off the plastic on top of the patch before heating with the iron? Or do you heat it with the plastic on and then peel it off after adhering it?

Yes but only you cannot ever wear the 1% on the back or in the front unless you're in a club

From everything I have read, it should. Just keep these things in mind. - Bottom rocker can’t contain a location(example: Chicago, IL). This would claim territory that a MC may already claim - Your middle patch should not be one used by any MC’s or resemble them in a similar fashion - Dont put things like “13” or “1%er” patches in your Kutte - avoid common MC terms like “nomad” or “President”. The biggest thing, especially if you follow all these guidelines is to stand your ground when confronted about wearing a three piece patch. Most guys will ask for an explanation and you’d better have one ready. My family and I all wear the same patches as we ride together a lot. I’ve had to explain this to guys in MCs and they have all been cool about it so far!
