does anyone know how to work the dashboard? iv never done this before and im starting to like panic iv been trying since Monday to claim my benefits and its not working

Do you think you can help me?? I'm confused with the Maryland UI Online Portal (Beacon). On the Beacon tool I accidentally answer the questionnaire for the "Weeks Claimed" tab. I didn't realize I was ONLY supposed to do the questionnaire ONCE I received the cash/card, which I never did. I filed for unemployment for 5 weeks and submitted the questionnaire for all 5 weeks. Since I submitted the questionnaire, under the "Weeks Claimed" tab it now shows each week with a green exclamation point next to it with the word "Claimed" - and it was this that I realized it meant I "claimed the cash/card" already, which I did NOT. I don't know how the hell I'm supposed to reedit that now, because I never received the cash/card yet. They make this system SO confusing and give you no means possible to contact a rep during these panicking times. What does this mean? Does it mean I won't be able to claim ANY of the money they haven't even sent me???? Please help, you will be a blessing if you can!

I Applied at GA everything seemed fined received a message that my first claim day will be the 4/15 now i went to their website and says that my social is not on file. None of their phone numbers work and I dont know what to do. What could had gone wrong.

I have been working for my current employer for 6 months on 3/9/2020 before being furloughed due to Covid-19. I had a claim after my job closed down in June 2019. I started receiving Unemployment benefit in July 2019 through September 7, 2019, at which time I started my new and recent job. My ongoing problem is I can't open a new claim with reference to my most recent job that furloughed me. It keeps going to my old claim to re-open. I do not want that. I want to open a new claim and it keeps denying me. I have left several requests for callbacks to assist me with this problem. I've been sending requests since 3/24/20. Please help!!!

Doesnt work on the website as I dont see that screen. I see a summary page only. Also ,and no one calls back. I left a message and the automated system said would recieve a call back. Its been 4 days

I am very comfortable with written material but I'm helping a couple people who are not comfortable with reading or writing. I'm very impressed with the steps the EDD has taken to try and make this accessible.

I filed December 6,2017,and no one has been assigned to this claim as of this date, January 24,2018. This is unacceptable, as others find out within a few weeks.Every time I try to get through by phone, I get the “ we can not take your call at this time,due to the high volume of calls”. I start phoning as soon as the lines open, and continue throughout the day. I have gone down to our local office, and that is where I found out that there has been no one assigned to my claim.

Took me 9 months. Customer service is a joke, and no politicians seem to be willing or bothered to fix this

The web site is so out dated. Was this built in 1998?

The main reason people do not see the application process questions is due to the assigned day is not for you. Applicants must apply on the day they are assign based on the last digit of your social security number. For example, apply on Monday if your last social security number is 0 or 1, Tuesday if 2 or 3, Wednesday if 4,5, or 6, Thursday if it's 7,8 or 9 and Friday if it ends in any last digit.

I think it is unfair to make it more difficult for someone to receive UI if that person has been out of work for a longer period of time. Some of us have avoided collecting by wanting to work for ourselves and then maybe finding out that it is not as easy as one hoped. I'm 51, a veteran, and have worked for other businesses in the past, and sometimes the demands are too great. Why do the laws apply a greater penalty on those who have been out of work longer than others?

I totally understand Arc! I think it's unfair that someone who has been out of work for a long time looking for work should not be kicked to the curb. I see now my benefits have ended and now that so many business are closed, how am I to find a job? Now I really can't find a job, and I can't get an extension? Then what really unfair is the people who for the last two weeks are going to get almost as much as they made while working, but I don't get that because I am already unemployed? I need to figure out how to get through the Red Tape. I know I will sit on hold for ho2 hours & then get told, no by benefits are exhausted.

Have been trying to get through the first page on the Florida site, for two weeks. can not. Why cant they create a brand new website with simple , and few steps, and connect it with your employment history. This is a scam by the state Gov, so they wont pay the money to its citizens.

The woman on this video is already logged in. In order to get to the page she is on (1 thru 5 process) You have to create a account. On mass.gov unemployment home page click on "log in to your ui online account". Then enter your SSI number to start application process.

I completed this and thus my claim was opened but I am unable to find where to certify for benefits online. It appears the interface has changed and the videos are outdated.

You can't even get into the page, because it asks for a password when I've never started an account. WTF. When I hit next, the second page never comes up. It asks for a password.

Frustrating. When you put "Business Type", then you put "Work Type", and it's a headache, because it rejects almost everything you put. Then if you're able to get your answer accepted, it asks you for a second work type you're able to do, and it rejects every single answer you put in, so it doesn't allow you to move forward with the application, then their system logs you out unexpectedly.

I filed successfully and was approved. My problem is in the reporting weekly for benefits. there seems to be cliché where it asks me about hours worked, it won't except 0 it has to be between 1-168. put in 1 which put me through the old rigamaroll for filing unemployment. They have new requirements because of the corona virus but the website isn't updated to reflect that.

@@faitha1075 I just found out I was approved, before I was initially qualified. Apparently my company paid me 4 hours vacation time which threw the system off and confused it for work. Which delayed me for 4 weeks. I got an email telling me to check my in box on their website, I checked that and they sent a final approval letter in the form of a PDF file.

@@faitha1075 The easiest way is to check the inbox on you UI account, look for monetary determination letter if you selected to be contacted electronically. If you selected to get the correspondence on the mail wait on that letter.

I just applied by cell phone. Wasn't too long a wait on phone to get service personnel. We went onto site to review these pages and she agreed that something was wrong with website and has reported it to her authorities. I spent several hours trying to creaet new account and couldn't find this page seen at 8:17. So...maybe they will fix it but don't wait..call them.

You need to enter your gross income (before taxes) EDD will contact your employer if they need additional info or to verify your employment.

They tell you what you need for a password. I'm not at that site now but, as I recall, you need: (1) At least 8 characters (character means number, letter, or symbol); (2) At least one character must be a capital letter; (3) At least one character must be a lower case (not a capital) letter; (4) At least one number from the row of numbers at the top at the top of the keyboard; and (5) At least one symbol from the keys at the top of the keyboard. Some systems limit which symbols you can use. They'll tell you. You print the symbol by holding down the shift key on either side of the keyboard and pressing the number/symbol key you want. For example, Hotshot#5.
