No , when we apply through MEXT Scholarship we don’t have to pay application fee.

You need to send the requested documents to your professor and he will send them to student affair section on your behalf.

MEXT has its own grading scale for that. For me my Japanese University did this part.

They won’t inform you about the status of your documents but usually they contact you if you get short listed

I have some confusions about application process 1. A professor from Hokkaido University is ready to accept me but he said that you have to pass the selection process first and then he will give me acceptance letter for application 2. Do we need to apply for MEXT scholarship separately after applying for university admission? 3. Do we have to put details in the given format of Research Proposal or write it separately and make a pdf? please answer my questions so I can apply

Yes in some universities you need to pass application process For most of the universities you don’t have to apply for MEXT separately but you can confirm from Hokkaido university student affair section to be on the safer side. Better to follow the given template

I don’t think so as far as I have seen for undergrad you’ve to apply through Embassy Recommendation but that’s pretty easy too

Basically laboratories in japan has different domains like AI ,Cyber security or Software Engineer etc I haven’t seen any lab for web development as it’s a very generic field. Better to choose some competitive field.

Yes it is for undergrads too but for that most of the university ask for Japanese language proficiency but there are some universities which accepts English (eg :Kyoto University)

Yes some cash as you’ll get the scholarship in the last of October so till then you’ll need some money for basic essentials. Do confirm from your sensi that wether they’ll give you work laptop or not(In my case my laboratory gave me a laptop) but it depends on lab funding so confirm from your sensi otherwise bring your own laptop Also do activate the international internet roaming of your sim coz you may have to go to your university by your own in that case you need cell phone and mobile data to check the timings of bus/trains It’s better if you contact someone from your university before coming to japan(so that they can pick you up from the airport or can arrange your beddings) Do as student affair section wether you would need beddings or not if yes then you can order it from Amazon Japan.
