Allotment of computer number can take anywhere from 2 days to 2 months. Computer Number gets rejected if copies are not self-attested, in almost all the cases.

Correction to my previous reply: I just confirmed, you do need an authorisation letter to be uploaded. (In the letter, authorise yourself to get the BVC and state the reason and the class you're applying for i.e. ICSE or ISC...

See, as I said in the video, if it's a combined document with the title 'Marks Statement Cum Certificate', then you can upload the same in both the sections. But, if your board provides it as two different documents, you've to upload pass certificate in the pass certificate's section and marksheet in marksheet's section. Otherwise DGCA will surely reject the application. It's very strict in these regards.

I applied for computer number on Feb 23 but I couldn’t send the print out copies through speed post to their address. It states in their website that if the copies doesn’t reach their address within 10 days it will result in auto rejection. So when I try to re-apply it shows that your application status is “submitted “. What should I do now? I want to re-apply for it

You cannot apply again before you get a rejection mail (in case, your application is rejected). Your application either gets accepted or rejected within 60 days of receiving the documents at DGCA.

Previously, CBSE used to issue 2 different documents for Marksheet and Pass Certificate but in the recent years, CBSE has been issuing a common certificate called 'Marks Statement Cum Certificate'. So, in the second case, you have to upload the same documents for Marksheet and the Pass certificate. So, it basically depends on what is written on your Marksheet... Thank you

This case isn't clearly mentioned in the user manual, it's just written that if the BVC is addressed to DGCA, you should not open the envelope and send the document as received... If you had to take my words, you can get it (the front and the back of the envelope) attested by the gazetted officer as well (extra attestation is never an issue, lack of attestation is an issue).

@@f7mach609 I think you forgot to select 10+2 with PM option while filling form. Don't worry, just upload your marksheet in place of it. But just to let you know, equivalent certificate and marksheet are two different things. If your Computer Number gets rejected, select '10+2 with PM' next time instead of '10+2 Equivalent'.. You can't leave any field empty while uploading documents. So, while doing the application process, select 10+2 with PM. By doing this, you won't get any option for equivalent certificate in the uploading section.

You'll have to get a board verification certificate for NIOS (Physics) as well. But, don't worry. The procedure for NIOS' BVC is the same as the one for CBSE... So, the softcopy of your online downloaded result is your BVC. And while sending the documents, just get a printout of this online result and get it attested by a Gazetted Officer and also send a letter which mentions your credentials for the NIOS website... [Please watch the video to get the format of the letter].

BVC - Board Verification Certificate And it's compulsory to send the letter, which mentions your NIOS credentials, with the hard copies. Otherwise DGCA will reject your application for not mentioning the credentials. And, in my opinion, you should call the NIOS head office to make a request for your certificates for Physics. Because you've completed Physics from an open school, DGCA will require your Physics and Maths marksheets, pass certificates and BVCs, all separately, because the boards are different. DGCA is very strict in this regard.

@@shruityacharekar311 Yes, you're required to furnish 3 BVCs as mentioned by you. And regarding the letter, it's up to you. You can have a single letter mentioning the procedures for all the BVCs separately or alternatively, you can send 3 different letters as well. What I personally did was that I sent different letters for different BVCs so that there's no scope of confusion..

Might be a glitch. Generally you should be able to write decimal values. Try doing it on a different device. And if the issue still persists, round it off to 9...

If you're sending the envelope, how will you be able to send the attested documents?! Just upload the envelope images...

@@AviationFIRST the board office gave me the mark sheet as well as the the passing certificate signed by the divisional secretary and told me to scan it before returning to them , then the same along with a letter to the CEO was sealed in an envelop and given to me , the board office told me to not open the sealed letter and to upload the signed mark sheet and passing certificate in the bvc column

@@yashpatil6184 that's something nice that they've done but no need to upload the scanned documents. That may force DGCA to think that you've opened the envelope and sealed it back. Better to upload only envelope...

Even English isn't mandatory, Physics and Maths are enough but it's fine if you add a 3rd subject (could be any English, Chemistry, etc.)...

You'll get a mail stating auto-rejection of your application and then you can apply again (not until you get the mail). Check your spam mails as well (just in case).

@@AviationFIRST it’s been 4 days up from the day it should’ve been delivered and there is no update no auto rejection mail. Is there any way to speed up the process?
