ALWAYS wear gloves throughout the whole process! Thank you for a detailed and clear video of the proper way to lay a stencil. I'm just starting to learn so content like this is extremely helpful
Always wear gloves when coming in contact with anyones skin from prepping skin to actual tattooing process. I use gloves even when setting up just a great habit to get use too. Gloved up at all times 😄

Same. That's how I work. Any time I'm trying to keep things sanitary. From start to finish.
Love your videos man ❤
Amazing art bro..wish all best and good luck brother always..best regard from lombok indonesia
Great video
can you please make a video about applying a stencil that would wrap all the way around an arm or leg? seems a little bit trickier than a stencil that will lay flat in one area?? and what about when doing a bigger piece where the stencil would not typically fit all on one page? thanks so much!
This was a life saver. I got so irritated that my stencils were rubbing off during my tattoo. I think I was waiting too long after putting stencil stuff down, to actually stick the stencil. And I definitely wasn’t waiting 15 minutes before starting …. I’m going to try it this way next time ! 🎉

Always wear gloves!! This was super helpful! Can’t wait to try this next time I do a tattoo
Thank you so much for the informative video ! does anyone know what type of alcohol and what percentage is best to use? :)
Yes it is clearer
Hell, I only tattoo myself for now & I still wear gloves... Thanks for all the info, hope all is well. Take it easy.
..If I could pay you for your Awesome Great advice or to be my instructor BR0 BRANDON I would. I love how you constantly talk about being sanitary. You literally cover every single detail. I absolutely 💯% Completely agree wearing gloves when it comes to tattooing or stenciling in any way shape or form. I as well believe £verything Tattooing Related needs to be stored away in lock tight containers seperate from your other household belongings. Stabbing random people with needles Needs to be taken £xtremely seriously. Thanks Again Brother Brandon! Sincerely your Fan Tj .. WA
Great video though 👍
Yes gloves are important at all times.
..Hey BR0 Brandon.. I do have a kinda stupid question..# uhm.. What kinda pen do I use for stenciling? What do I use to trace over my stencil? (BIC) ? I mean does it matter?
Thanks for the videos brother I just started tattooing and I been watching a lot of your videos and to answer your question why not have rubber gloves on why would u want to get the stencil stuff on your hands kinda of a no brainer plus why not look more personal then worrying about a pair of .25 Cents gloves
I wear gloves while making the stencil if for no other reason I hate having purple stuff on my hands. I always have gloves on when placing the stencil, the sound and feel of the gloves when my Stencil Stuff reaches that perfect amount of tackiness is always consistent then.

yup. it sounds like you got it perfect.
Always gloves on! actully in our country we also HAVE to, our goverment checks in randomly from time to time and check we do everything clean. They can even check our inks that our inks is reach compliant (eu), check our walls are washable, sinks, needles, inks(date) can only be opened for 6 months than throw out, regardless of what it says on the bottle, everything once in a while.
Hi! Thanks for the super informative video! I have one question: do you reuse the marker ( the one you used to mark the stencil placement) on other clients? I never reuse mine and it feels like such a waste, but at the same time I'm thinking it's possible for some tiny cuts to occur while shaving and that there's a little risk of cross-contamination? Thank you so much in advance!
@Tattooing101
Жыл бұрын
No I never reuse any of my markers. Treat it as single use only for each client!
Always wear your gloves thank you 👍🏽
If im not really getting my design tattooed, how long does the stencil stay on the skin?
I would Say yes
Most definitely. Not only is it a cross contamination issues, but you will have stencil ink on you forever if you don't!

where's the cross contamination issues putting a transfer on always wear gloves no exceptions but no cross contamination issues mate that's a fact
Yes ofcourse if on a client always
I have a question! When I apply my stencil to my fake skin, it seems like the ink from the stencil paper is expanding and it makes it hard to see what I’m doing. Am I doing something wrong or did I just get bad paper?
question, have you tried using green gold with the transferring of the stencil onto leather pants? I'm curious if it'll work.

@@Tattooing101 or can you try a wallet or bag? Even if it's fake, like a purse...I want to see if I can use the process on a purse before buying the machine
I have a question. After 32 years I finally made up my mind on what I want in terms of a tattoo. (I know seems crazy but this is me). How do tattoo artists create the right size stencil for the client they are working on? Example: I want mine on the side of my right bicep. Everyone’s arms are different sizes and lengths do you guys put stencil sheet on the arm in this case and draw it out? What is the process? Are all tattoos pre-fab or does the artist create each one from the ideas of the client? I know it’s an armature question but this is my first one and just want it to be perfect. Thanks

If it’s a picture on a phone or computer usually the artist can adjust the size to what u like
Been practicing on fake skin and the stencil always wipes off. How do I avoid this? 🤔 thank you!
@RichardHuard
Жыл бұрын
Some let the stencil sit overnight on fake skin. Also, some cheaper fake skins really suck so maybe some trial and error.
👍
I’m gonna say this…wearing a mask is actually just as important. I’m a tattoo artist and an esthetician and when I clean tone and mask a clients face I prefer not to wear gloves. If I’m doing a treatment where I can come into contact with any bodily fluids I wear gloves. I’ve cleaned skin prepping for a tattoo without gloves. It doesn’t matter. At the end of the day we all touch the same door knobs and toilet flushers before we wash our hands. I would definitely wash my hands before cleaning any skin. ✌🏼❤️💋

I’ve never left a client with any cut after shaving I’ve been doing this for 20 years
I feel like it’s important to wear gloves at all times! Never know what is trapped beneath one’s nails; and it’s easy to forget ourselves and cross contaminate our work stations , because of a bad habit.always wear gloves
Anytime your touching client gloves need to be worn you could have made any type of small Nik while shaving the area
Yes, yes, yes always wear gloves even when applying stencils
Thank you, I thought stencil stuff went on top of the paper.
Yes you should always touch a client woth gloves, beginning to end
Hey so I've done all the steps and I cannot for the life of me get the stencil to show at all. I draw my own stencil on transfer paper in pen.. Could that be the issue?

@@Tattooing101 what do u recommend and are u supposed to put the side with the ink on it on your skin ? Or the opposite side
I ALWAYS! wear gloves. I wash my hands, put on gloves, and apply the stencil. Then I'll get a new pair of gloves, waah my hands again, and start the tattoo.
You should ware gloves from the time the client inters your room till the tatoo is completely done and the customer is satisfied.
I didn’t wear gloves at first to put the stencil on because I could move my fingers better to get that stencil on but then the stencil carbon gets all over your fingers and stains your fingers so gloves are the way to go. I mean you’re not a tattoo and the person there’s not blood involved at this point that’s up to you you’re only putting a stencil on but it looks more professional to wear gloves anytime your coming in contact with your client or handling your client
Yeah you should always wear gloves when working with clients I even wear gloves when Setting everything up
Right in the beginning you stressed " always wear gloves at all times even when placing stencil!" And throughout the tattoo process,!
I personally wear gloves when drawing the stencil so no oils from my skin mess up the stencil
Just so you know, when you said you forgot to look at the camera, you were looking at it then. Before and after you're looking a bit to the side
