Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

If your horse has had a leg injury or surgery on its lower leg, your veterinarian may recommend for you to keep it bandaged. This video gives step-by-step instructions on how to apply that bandage. As always, there are different materials that can be used and slight variations to what is shown here. If you have any questions, please contact your veterinarian for guidance.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate how you took the time to name all of the materials you used and thoroughly describe the procedure. I tech at an equine vet clinic and really appreciate online teachers like you!

If you bandage one foreleg, do you need to bandage the other one for support or not?

Never kneel. When horse is scared you never will be fast enough to get up.

All of this for a little wound on the fetlock. Overkill.

This is usually for a large wound on the fetlock, lol. It’s to ensure no gunk gets into the wound. For example, this is good for sutures from surgery recovery, or perhaps a very large gash. We wouldn’t do this for a scrape or a cut, that can usually be treated with some ssd cream - and, depending on the severity of the cut, some vet wrap.
