Saia com um guia turístico, ou vá com amigos brasileiros. Não confie em GPS para te levar a lugares que vc não conhece no Brasil, especialmente aqui no Rio de Janeiro ou São Paulo.

To add some for what u guys were talking about Brasilia, It was designed by Oscar niemeyer, Its one of the few cities(compared to the whole number we have) that were projected and designed before built. And it was built far from the beach because the "war" fear, so we would have more air space to attack something going in that direction, so its kinda in the "middle" of Brazil. And previous it was Rio de Janeiro then changed to there, and there basically is a Political City, there's others stuff too obviously but for brazilians we see it as the City where all the Politicians live or pass most of the time due to work.

Usually Brazilian people think that understand Spanish because many words are similar but… different meaning, there are also a few dialects is South America that might be harder to us to understand. In Brazil we speak only Portuguese, of course the native Indians has their own language, but we can’t speak.

4:00 the "basic vocabulary" of portuguese and spanish are very similar, but still there is a lot of difference, i would say that the two languages have between 30% and 40% of similarity Fun fact: Although Brazil and Portugal have the same language, the accent is very different, when I hear someone speaking Portuguese from Portugal it takes me a few seconds to realize that it is Portuguese 😂

The last 2 topics were absolutely true. The ones before are not so annoying, except for talking bad about Brazil we won't care very much. We like make friends and we can tell when someone are being respectful. If you treat people with respect we're very flexible and teach anything you may not know about Brazil and our culture, all you have to do is not be attached at stereotypes about Brazil and Brazilians. If you don't speak Portuguese we'll help you anyway we can. The magic word is RESPECT, everyone like and we cherish. . The gringos who come just need be open to learn, have respect and ask if have any doubt, we like people who show interest on learn and we love our country. For us, Brasil is the best of all, of course with a lot of things to improve, but the best! hahaha

About football, carnaval and samba… leave a room for Brazilian wax lol… we have great music, MPB 😄 our technology is great also, Embraer is one of the biggest aircraft factory… Amazon forest is amazing, the biggest part of it is in Brazil. We do have monkeys on the streets, really tiny ones called “mico”. We have the most famous flip-flop “havaianas”. Great international actors like Rodrigo Santoro, Wagner Moura, Morena Baccarin… oh, recently he have a comedian Rafinha Bastos doing a few standup shows (in English) in US.

@@LucasSilva-dr6lu em São Paulo não é comum, na Vila Madalena eu já vi, e escutei que são raros, mas em geral o mico é encontrado em muitas cidades. O Rio é cheio, inclusive na capital. No interior de São Paulo uma amiga tem problemas com seu lixo, Macacos Prego destroem tudo.

Se for uma pessoa que a língua nativa da pessoa é espanhol, tipo nossos vizinhos, provavelmente vamos dar um jeito de tentar nos comunicar (mimica, google tradutor), o problema é o gringo que fala em inglês (principalmente estadunidense) que já acha que falamos em espanhol.
