Using expressions can be quicker when duplicating 7 circles, such as "45*index". This is a little idea of mine, please correct it if necessary.

Doesn't index take the layer number, so you'd have to make sure the circles are layer 1 through 7? Maybe precompose them?
Really good video 🍻
This is the first video I see teaching this style... Great tutorial Definitely agree with the guy who told u to make a course :))

Great tutorial, thank you! I learned some useful things! One tip: When you do Alt-], it isn't leaving an extra frame on the end. The bit you see extending out is the same frame extending until it ends just before the next frame. To test this, you can use Alt-], then hit page down to go to the next frame as see that it isn't there.

@@YounisYasinSC Ah, I’m not sure what the equivalent would be, but you should be able to remap it in your After Effects preferences!
I have a question scott. first of all, thank you for such great content you make, I have just finished a basic motion design course and realized in the process I don't know how to draw so I am falling terribly in the design side. How do motion design overcome this when they can't draw? specially storyboard to creating styleframes. it would be nice if you make content on that.

A lot of the time motion designers also work with designers in house. But I’d recommend brushing up on your design skills too, it will definitely help!

15:51 if you move the anchor point, in the animation above the circles scale from the centre of themselves and not from the centre of the composition. Is there any way to solve this?
@motionbyscott
3 ай бұрын
You can manually adjust the position. My anchor point was centred to the composition originally for the shape layers, so when I centred it, it centred to the circles instead. If yours are already centred to the circles, you'll just need to alter the position manually.
why at 18:50 when I change the x rotation, nothing is changing on the screen? can anyone help me

CTRL + Alt + Home to centre your layers anchor point
在复制7个圆的时候,用表达式更快一些,”45*index",一点小想法
