Brilliant idea to repurpose! I was shocked by some bullet journal/journalling videos that showed like 10 new notebooks a year for whatever purposes. This is beautifully creative but also a great way to reduce consumption :)

Amity Bloom Curious - what impacted your decision to use the glue stick on inside cover vs sticking with the modge podge? The journal is beautiful!!!
I am confused, just a little LOL. So how can you write inside when the pages are full of print? What is the reason to make something like that?

What is the reason of art? And it's also recycling in a way, because some books seem to never get attractive to anyone anymore. Sorry, i don't mean it angry or negative at all. Want to ask in a philosophical context. Have a good day 🙂.

@@Connibolognese she asked the question I had. Yes, it’s art, but she asked where we’re supposed to write our journal when the pages aren’t blank inside.

@@Twinzma Hi, I glanced the comments and I don't know if you have found your answer. I had the same question when I started and I just kept watching videos until i figured it out:-) A couple of ways to go about it: gesso over the text, which pushes the text to the background; when you write on top of the gessoed page your writing will stand out more than you'd think. Gesso is magical that way. Another way is to add blank tags, squares, various shapes of paper on top of the text and write on that. Hope that helps!

@@tracinickerson307 thank you! I also watched another video that explained it 😂 I kinda jumped the gun on that. Thank you for your ideas too!
Thank you so much for posting this. So many have videos out there where they took all the pages out and then covered the spine. I was looking for JUST this idea. Thank you SO much. Excellent.
I can't tell anyone I know that I watched this video, and more, with fascination. :-)... I love old books. I like the idea of re-purposing them. I also am pulled against this when the original words are pasted over. What a conflict there. But I like the journal making process. You make your life events into something you can look back on. Different than my Day Timer jottings. I am a secret journal re-purpose liker now. I like it. Not much time to do it, but find myself watching. Shhh.... -Jeff Goes Random says hi.
Ahhh! You just gave me the perfect solution about what to do with all my books I bought for Literature class that I won't be reading again. I was so stressed about the fact I spent so much money on them when I don't even like most of them. THIS IS IT. This is the answer.

Me too, so i might wouldn't have achieved in changing it. During my process with papercrafting and collaging i came across how great artists in history like Picasso had deep procedures with destroying and creating. Not as comparing me, but as Motivation function. Sometimes something speaks to you, and you "have" to take this, although it's already beautiful?? It's a kind of work hypothesis to me. And i still hesitate very much to destroy something complete as a book. But i also love the outcome of Amity Blooms' Art, the new book also looks very beautiful, so as not to forget that!!! 🙂
Looking forward to seeing how you put your beautiful touch on this book! Love it!
I am a big fan of altered books. You can cover up the pages with so many pretty papers and fabrics. Finding old books with a beautiful cover is great. But, when it's not so pretty just cover it up and make it pretty. You did a great job!
Lovely papers you used for the cover & looking forward to your next video. Thank you Nazy.
Love the ledger page on the spine! Beautiful book!!! xo

Can't wait to try this. I live in Amish Country there's a store that sells Amish bibles and Mennonite Hymnals. Should be really interesting to see this.

Thank you Nazy! I was just going to start one this week! I have many vintage papers like the one on your cover the ledger one. Anyways would you suggest mod Podge over that spine area? My papers are very brittle and looks like this one! Thanks for your ideas! ❤️
I love this idea! I wonder if this method would work for a junk journal, if there isn’t a lot of ephemera added so the journal could still be closed .
Hi Dear, I love what you do... In that one post Bullet Journal is amazing idea...

An what do you do with the printed pages? How do you alter them? Or do you cut them out?
I would love to see how you transform this book. Also, I was wondering what type of paper you recommend for printing your pages on in the Etsy shop? Thanks!

THANK YOU, All new to this. What I just learned, I think! you have junk journals, and bullet journals, correct? so bullet is using the pages still in book, junk is just reusing the cover of the book and making your own pages? ok, now I think it's bullet journal I wanted to do. Still trying to understand and figure out WHERE to start.. THANK YOU again.
Hola! me encantan tus videos, quisiera saber en que tipo de papel imprimes la ephemera. Saludos desde México
Thank you for this video!
very very awesome----are you going to show what to do next? how do u glue on threpages so they dont bubble and wrinkle
Love the journal. Do you sell the cover paper? I didn't see it in your store.
where do you buy vintage ledger paper?
How do we make the inner pages? I thought this would show how to make the actual pages as well as the cover.
Love this.
omg what did you use in your video? i love how it looks like!!
Qué bonito!
Nazy, what’s the name of the book you are using. I love Shakespeare?
You never changed the inside paper. Are you planning on journaling on top?
Hi love the way you did the cover of the book. Do you have a video showing how you did the pages inside to write on for your bullet journal? I would like to see that.

The best answer to the question, “what is special about the Bullet Journal method” is from the creator of the system, himself: Ryder Carroll! Here on KZread, he has a channel, explaining answers to some of the frequently asked questions. This video, *what is a bullet journal*, should help you get started: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oWif18eSmKqrk5s.html Here’s also a video, *comparison between Bullet Journals and Traditional Journaling p*: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jGyC26yHh83bp5c.html -- Personally, if you ask me, Bullet Journals (Bujos) are a productive journal. It is flexible so that the individual user can adjust it to however they’d like. Commonly, it has a monthly calendar, and a week-by-week and daily overview. People commonly use it for tasklists and event tracking or habit tracking. The appeal is that, unlike planners, the user can design the Bujo they want, with flexibility, making it as colorful or simple, as they’d like, and without guilt if they so happen to not use the Bujo. If the user isn’t as busy in June and July, compared to the rest of the year, the user could simply draw a monthly calendar and nothing else. -- I’d recommend browsing the Bullet Journal channel on KZread to find out about it!
Wonderful video
Love this! Are you going to stick pages over the current pages as you go along? I would be worried it would get too thick if that is the case. Would love to know how you plan to do it. Xx

A lot of people plan out their days and months using bullet journals. Or treat it like a diary
I would not do the corners that way putting decorative paper on the old book cover. Leave about a 1/16th to 1/8 th inch right at the corner so the old book doesn’t show after folding around the new paper.
Thank you
Please show us how you create the insides of your bullet journal.
i love your voice and your laugh jdjjcjddjd
