    I'm 30 years old, and have barely touched my bike in 10 years. Your videos have been a big inspiration to me to get back on my bike this year. I love watching you ride and your style. It reminds me of a next generation Chris Doyle almost. No double triple 1080 flip whip craziness like seems to have taken over contests lately, just a solid focus on style and form and making "simple" tricks like 360s look as good as humanly possible. Keep it up man.

    How do dis? Lol love that. So my issue with airing is I don't like big vert ramps and I stick to smaller quarters but it's hard to get it to transition you into the upright angle you leave the coping with so I am usually never hitting my rear tire, what should I try to do to mitigate the lack of transition?

  • @jaydalton

    @jaydalton

    6 жыл бұрын

    As weird as it sounds, the bigger ramps are easier to air. Give them a shot :D To make sure your back wheel launches off the coping, make sure you are pumping hard with your legs and pulling back with your arms. If you're just bumping your front wheel, it's more than likely you're treating it like a bunny hop of sorts. Pump hard and then let the ramp send you. If you link me a video, I'll be more than happy to analyze for ya' :)

    Jay Dalton BMX well, as as a 46 year old who only started riding a year ago, more basic stuff as well as the advanced as my fear of consequence is high 😊What I liked about this is that it was short, to the point and you focused on the mental process as much as the technique which a lot of tutorials don’t do.

    Look where you want to go and your bike will follow. You don't really have to focus on doing a 180.

    I think you forgot to touch on the both tire bonk off coping. Dugan talked about that in his how to. I struggled for years until I watched dugans how to. But the speed is important.

    This was more for people who already knew how to air and were asking how to up the amplitude a bit. Actually meant to refer people to his video for the basics, but it slipped my mind when recording :/
