    Good instructions mate for a quick tighten, worth noting there is a more effective/proper way to adjust gen 3 and 4 handbrake. Need to jack up the entire rear of the vehicle, put on jack stands for safety :) chock front wheels and take out of gear and release the handbrake. Loosen off the adjuster under the console. There is an adjuster on either side of the vehicle, accessed from the bottom of the hub assembly, wheels may need to come off to assist in accessing. Tightening up both sides evenly, testing the number of clicks now and then to check. 5-7 clicks is what the Mitsubishi service guide says is the desired number of clicks. You can then use the front adjuster under the console for your next adjustment when required, as it has now been loosened off a bit. Some things to note. The Pajero uses drum/shoe style for the handbrake, and disks for pedal brake. Due to this, crud/rust/etc can build up inside the rotor where the shoes clamp to stop the vehicle moving when the handbrake is applied. This build up can decrease the efficiency of the hand brake. An old trick to help keep drums and shoes free of build up is to occasionally apply the handbrake lightly when driving along at around 40kmph. If the shoes are getting worn/low, that would also mean the handbrake adjuster needs tightening, if overtightened it will stretch the cable also, so be careful not to over do it. The rear will have a set of pads and a set of shoes each side. Edit: great tip about applying the hand brake on an auto or CVT vehicle before putting it in park, takes the stress off the transmission when parked on a hill. I do this in my wife's car always, not as important in a manual though.

    Awesome! I've got a mean video idea which I havent seen around but I've seen the process suggested a tonne. The left rear hub nut apparently come loose on these - causing some shudder/clunking through the driveline etc. You have to jack it up and get someone to hold the brakes, and then tighten it to spec with a torque wrench OR absolutely hang off it - needs to be TIGHT. Would be sick to see a how to video for this! Cheers, Alwyn

    Great wee video mate. Got a question for you, does the swb model have a headlight height leveling sensor on the back passenger side just at the upper suspension arm if so have you got a picture and the length of the connector bar as on my LWB model my connecting is missing and looking for a measurement for it. TIA

    Hey man, love your videos, I've got an 08 ns paj and when I shift from P to R/D I get a very small thud similar to one at 3:50. Is this a diff bush related thing?

    @budget4x4life

    Thanks matey 😊 mmm could be. Just check your bushes. Is it on hills only or on even ground? If it's on hill it could be because your hand brake is mot holding it in one place. On even ground I reckon bushes or could just be that gearbox connects to driveshaft when you go to D💯
