When I take my glasses off to adjust the pads I can't see what I'm doing.

I’ve been a retinal photographer for over 20 years and I never learned optician skills. My glasses were painfully out of adjustment but your simple, concise video got me back to the best vision and balance for my glasses. Thanks so much for sharing your instructions.
Worked great! Have been wearing glasses for 30 years and never able to adjust the nose pads successfully myself. Always made it worse (even after reversing my own adjustment). This time I got it!!! These crucial little tips are so helpful.
just sharing, if you feel that one of the pads is pushing stronger than the other, adjusting the height of the pads is the solution. So the gap between the nose and the pads must be all equal either left or right. Stronger push means that pad's gap to your nose is closer than the other pad so you can either make it the stronger pad further or you can move the weak pad closer to balance it out
Thank you!! You are a life saver my glasses were hurting my nose and I needed them adjusted thanks
Thank you so much. This video was very informative and straight to the point. First video I found to help relieve pressure on my nose. No more marks on my nose.🤗
In this current times, it’s hard to go to a place (yet) to get my eyeglasses adjusted. Thank you so much for this clear and informative video!
Excellent, fits like a glove now.
If you have an older pair of glasses you're not using, I suggest you practice on those first before tackling your regular glasses.
Thanks for the video. One of my nosepads is digging into my nose and hurting quite a bit. I will try this.
You are hero 💛 i was scared to do that but it worked ... I was having problem with it from 5 months it was hurting my nose from one side ... Thanks a lot
Great vid. Though I was hoping you might explain why when they're comfortable, it hurts later when we take them off. I've tried adjusting them to sit more loose and the pads will then hurt the nose further down. I can't see well at all without my glasses.
Worked like a charm for me!
Thanks man! You saved me a trip to the Optical lol
very nice but what do you do if your noise is crocked because of a broken nose.
Thanks David. It had really bothered me for the 1 week since I got the glasses.
Thank you. That was an easy fix
I was going to buy plier, didn't know it is this easy , thank you so much
This worked. Thank you.
Thank you for removing subtitles. Video shows more information I needed.
I love you, I needed this!!! 💘
Excellent. Glasses fit much better now.
Very informative!
Good job. Good video. Thank you.
THANK YOU!! luckily I'm very careful and patient, I got it to fit just right! SO FCKING HAPPY
Thank you soooo very much!!!
Very helpful.
Thank you!
Many thanks for your tips
Super, thank you!
Thank you. I fixed the problem by myself.
this just saved me thanks
Thanks, it works❤️
is it gonna snap two if i try fix the frame tht holding nose pads?
how do you stop glasses from sliding down your face fis thtat problem i will subscribe
THANK YOU SIR!U DA BEST
My main problem was not addressed and there may not be a solution. I have a very thin bony bridge. Adjustments do not work. Oversized bridge pads do not work. I have sewn soft rubber cups over the pads, but that does not work. It works better than anything else, but still leaves a large red area that aches. My pads are adjustable, but no adjustment seems to work. Contact lenses are out of the question for me as my eyes are deep set, and I'm 78 years old and do not want the aggravation. So other than some sort of band over my head holding the glasses off my nose, I don't know what to do. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi Doc well i removed the nosepads because they were tight on my nose but now they pinch more what can i do they are new glasses too

Thank you! Finally my glasses can stop sliding down my nose.
thanks man
Thanks
I like this.
So I pushed them back a while ago but I think they messed with the screw and the plastic of the nose pads so...they’ve been loose ever since and one fell out today 😐
thanks alot
I adjust the nose pads, but after some minutes, they eventually return to their original position and its annoying. Should I buy new glasses ?
helps a lot . I thought it need a special tool to do it.
Still thank you for the guide, I broke my eyeglasses though by doing it. Maybe I was too careless.
@weldonyoung1013
Жыл бұрын
No you were not - careless. It is a risk you take anytime you try to adjust the frame part of metal eyeglasses. Usually you are better off, by trying to improve the fit by first optimizing the fit by bending the temple or arms first. Any adjustment of the nose pad carriers should be gentle or left to an optician (who can assume the risk). That's hard to do when a nose piece is digging in.
I gained weight and now my glasses are tight ! Can I adjust the bridge ?
I just got meh glasses they are plastic so I am not trying this plus they are expensive asf 500 dollars. But the bridge of my nose is pretty sore and my eyes keep watering is this normal?

Another tip... not all faces are totally equal from left to right... so you'll likely need minor adjustments to each nose pads too. Plus your ears aren't totally level too.
@weldonyoung1013
Жыл бұрын
You can add another one. But it is not likely to help, as manufacturers don't make them. Larger nose pads !!! Manufacturers only make replacement pads with shorter or longer over nose reach, not nose pads with different size nose contact areas.

@@weldonyoung1013Hello and thank you for the reply. I wasn't able to figure out what you were replying to, than I have noticed that it was a question from 12 years ago. hahaha! awesome. Not sure what is more awesome? the fact that someone decided to reply to a question from 12 years ago? or the fact that even after 12 years I care enough to comment back to a reply to my question from 12 years ago. Either way... very cool over all. :D Cheers and have yourself a awesome day!
mine sit crooked but like sit sideways on my face.
I broke my nose when I was younger and adjusting the nose pads is such a pain!
I've never seen this done with your fingers, Doesnt that damage it? The pros use a special tool.

Subtitles are in the way of showing what you're doing
What about for digging?
My nose pads aren't even as far as when puting on my glasses, my left pad hits my nose first. One nose pad sits higher than the other. My right nose pad is to low, but not in the way described in this video.
ONE of my nose pads is completely dented :(
my nose pads leave an indent when i take them off...why is that?
@serendra90210

+VSU45 they are misaligned. an optician can help you adjust these.
Cant move them
This video is almost 11 years old. Crazy..
I did all of what I said but realised it was my face that was causing the problem. So I squeezed hard on my nose to make it fit the frame. Now I have a broken nose and a lot - and I mean a lot - of blood.

Holy smokes man... Wowww
great video, really helped...solved the problem with my glasses in a couple of minutes...thanks!
You need to squeeze harder so that the bleeding eventually stops, let the blood dry for few days.
great video! but i wouldn't dare do this on my expensive cartier frame. but thanks.
Scared to do this with my Dulce and Gabbana
I was gently bending it. Then it snapped! Now make a how-to solder nose pad arm DIY video.

Some optician might be able to braze the metal parts together. You'll probably need to call a great many opticians. I would suggest starting with independent opticians.
Can I use a vice to hold the glasses while adjusting? Makes me feel manly
