Thanks for this quick useful tutorial What is the benefit of using the color ramp ? I noticed that we could end up using bump without it, so I just wonder the purpose and I am sure there is one :)

for anyone watching this, yeah this isn't how bump maps work, not anymore anyways, normal maps work better as they are intended for this high maps are purely in engine and don't always work on eevee or cycles.

Let me tell you when I 1st saw blender back in 2010 I opened it and said what in the world am I looking at. That time it looked like the cockpit of airplane to me. I had no idea of where to start. Just a few months ago is when I was introduced once again and I love it.

I like how there’s no presumption here, gently talking us through every click, scroll and tab.
