Quick & Easy Fix on Trim System
How to video on replacing trim and tilt fluid on your outboard motor. I also show you what happens when air is in the system. This was performed on a 2006 Evinrude 225 etec but almost all outboard trim and tilt systems are the same. Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda outboard engines use the same hydraulic trim and tilt system. from 1990- present time.

Think you are supposed to leave cap off so when you are bleeding the air has somewhere to go. Just a thought
the tube you pumped in the fuild is that the same tube to pump in lower unit fuild? thanks for trim advise

We have been having this problem because my dad puts transmission fluid in it and uses a funnel to fill it up and it happened again and we have to manually lift the motor 😢
Guy says "to safe our dying planet" and spills hydraulic fluid all over the grass 😂😂😂

Hi, do you happen to know where to find a rebuild seal kit for the three arm system? i have the same trim and tilt on my Evinrude 2010, I'm having a really hard time finding a rebuild seal kit for it, i can only find it for the one lift arm system. Any help in the right direction will be much appreciated.

If you have to add fluid to start with, doesn't that mean you have fluid leaking somewhere ?
