Try clear paint for the initial base coat then the color. Similar with painted surfaces using stencils the base color should match the body color then pain with the accent color for crisp perfect lines.

I love your video on how to put pictures on an old window without using tape or glue. I clicked on the Amazon website you had below but it either shows White or Pearl vinyl not the white pearl as on your video. Also how do you use the exacto knife on the corners since you are cutting the vinyl on the wood not on the flat surface of the window? Does that make sense in what I am asking? Thank you.

To be honest, I can barely tell in some of the lighting that my tape is white pearl. You may be happy with just clear tape. Not sure about the question on the knife?? It was such a fun project - hopefully yours turns out great!
What if I want to change out the photos? Can I remove the vinyl?

I am not sure what you are referring to. The photos are on the back of the glass, and covered by the tape - so they are fully protected. The frame is hanging inside, so I didn't seal the wood.
