How To Add Metadata And Embedd Image In MP3 | EASY
Tagging your mp3's with the correct metadata is just as important as the song, podcast or audio itself. If you are looking to distribute your audio to platforms, it's always a great idea to make sure the platform picks up all the information of the audio such as the title, year, genre, image or any other information that you deem necessary to the listener.
A typical example is of an artist sending a song to a person of interest. The person of interest archives the song in the hope of listening to it later. 2 weeks go by and he/she is listening to the songs received in the last couple of weeks and comes across yours and absolutely loves it. But on his/her audio player the track is displayed as 'Track 1' or better still, it bears the title of the song but the artist and other information is displayed as 'Unknown'.
This video explains how to easily add metadata or id3 tags in your mp3 and also how to embedd your image or cover art to your mp3. I'll also show you how to convert your WAV files to mp3 or vice versa for free without relying on websites. All these will be achieved using iTunes, VLC and Audacity.

Hi Jiff, After saving the cover art on my Mp4 file or Mp3, when I play or upload to the Mp4/Mp3 file again (With the Cover art I saved), doesn't come up (It's not saved). What would I need to do to rectify this?

Hi...ok this won't work for MP4 as MP4's are video files. But if you've followed the instructions carefully for your song then it should work. What are you using to play your music?...if VLC, Microsoft Media or iTunes then it should show. If using your phone then it will definitely show. Let me know!

@@Jiffthegeneral I managed to create a video through Photos app (windows 10 app). When using VLC and I upload some MP3 files and save the metadata with the Cover art & I re-Open the mp3 file either on Vlc or Media Player, doesn't come up with the Cover art. Sometimes it works on some files.

Once you've added all info using iTunes (I guess that's what you're using) export the track to a folder...if you now use finder the track will be located.

Roxio cd software is my favourite for that. It allows you to place all metadata including ISRC's

Yes you can place metadata on you WAV files but images aren't possible. At 1.23 on the tutorial choose WAV instead of Mp3 assuming that you file hasnt got any metadat on it...Hope this helps!
