How To: Add MagSafe to Older iPhones - iPhone SE, iPhone X / XS, iPhone 11

With all of the new #iPhone coming out with #MagSafe support and with the plethora of MagSafe accessories being released, in this video I show how to take an older but still great iPhone like the iPhone X and add MagSafe using a MagSafe case.

Pro Tip: If the buttons on your new leather case are not pressing in with a click when you first get the case, take the case off, and press the button firmly in and out a few times. This will break the case buttons in and result in the satisfying click. This applies to Apple and off brand cases, even though off-brand doesn't feel fully appropriate here given how close this resembles a legitimate case.

ive added magsafe but it keeps disconecting with the anker 622. Sometimes stays connected. not sure what to do

Which case did you use to add MagSafe? A bit of wobbliness on the battery pack is normal (for the battery pack) - mine wobbles the same between the iPhone X and iPhone 13 Pro Max with MagSafe built in.

I think it has to be no name brands because MagSafe is an official licensed trademark and big case companies won’t want to invest in older phones
Hi thanks for your video. I can’t find the Galapple iPhone X/XS leather case in Europe tho. Do you have an equivalent ? I’m searching for a clean looking MagSafe case for my iPhone XS

I have iPhone x and I bought anker 622 MagSafe power bank it’s smaller to your power bank that’s in the video , and when I wirelessly charge my iPhone x it charge for 5 seconds only and doesn’t continue to charge. do you know what is the issue?

The case featured in this video has MagSafe built in and does not require any adhesives. that being said, if you’re using a different thing that you bought, you can put it on your phone, if the case is not too thick, and use it through the case. It might be just a bit worse if the magnets aren’t good enough or if you use it in your case and drive fast / turn hard.
it works on the older phones but they get wayyyy too hot!!
I have iPhone SE 2020 and after connecting the MagSafe powerbank it charges my phone for a few seconds and the stop, do you know what can be the problem in this situation?

It could be an alignment issue or, most likely, a problem with the power bank. The power bank isn’t registering that something is charging.
