The functionality can be modified but it depends on the email marketing platform you are using. Lets say you are using Klaviyo, I think that with javascript you can read the Klaviyo data and then trigger the popup depending on the parameters. But the code needs to be a bit modified.

There are a couple of issues we've encountered: the product gets added to the cart multiple times when the "Receive as a gift" button is clicked repeatedly. Additionally, the pop-up doesn't appear over all buttons. When the shopping cart slider is opened on mobile, the pop-up is only visible after closing the shopping cart. Is there a solution for this? I am looking into this but for now: 1. If someone clickes multiple times on the button yes the product gets added multiple times but you should only allow 1 free gift on your automatic discount. Then 1 of the multiple added products will be free and the rest will have a price tag. 2. Inside the GWP.liquid section, at the bottom you have the styling sheet for it. On your theme, the shopping cart slider is using a z-index proprety that is higher than the GWP popup. In this case you can go to that styling sheet and change the z-index value for the first two rules. .gwp-overlay { z-index: 9999;

The amount triggered is in whatever currency your store is in. So if your store uses Euro, by setting 50 it will mean 50 euros.

You have an error on a json file and that prevents the data you add from being saved. If your theme is 1.0 you can try to debug by looking at the 'settings_data.json' file, if your theme is 2.0 and you are testing on the home page you will have to look at 'index.json' file. Try the following and let me know: Go into the code editor for the theme you're having issues with and open either 'settings_data.json' or 'index.json' (you can check both as well) Try to make a small change (For example, try to change the text in the announcement banner), click "Save". If the error is in that file, you will get an error message. This error message can help you pinpoint what part of your code is not functioning correctly and then you can address. Let me know what you find.

Giving it away for free always came with support time on my part. Anyone who joined my community not only got the code for this solution, they got other assets as well and best of all they got my support there. If this is not appealing you can always spend the time to build it yourself. You can also go and pay a monthly fee for an app that also slows down your store.

Any way to just add this to some shopify product templates? When i follow the way shown here it applies to my whole shop which is not what i want. Would be cool if it is a real section i can insert where i want it in the customizer.

If you want to be able to add this section to a certain page or template, you will have to add another bit to the JSON schema. Before the last square bracket and the last curly brace, you will have to add the following. You are going to add a comma after the last square bracket and then the following part: ],
