I always do a little provisional cast on for my icord in the round or like this so I can just Kitchener stitch them together at the end :)
Thank for a calm detailed tutorial.

Awesome. TFS.
This is awesome! I’m doing the Sophie scarf half silk yarn and half mohair. But I want to add the icord edge to the mohair side with the silk yarn. Hope it looks good.
I’m gonna try this on my mitre square blanket, wish me luck 😊

I love this video. Very helpful, BUT how do I make the stitches consistent?
great explanation....until the end. how do you finish it ?
Should you use the same size needle that you used for the initial project or does it really matter? Very informative tutorial! Thanks
@MeghanMakesDo
Жыл бұрын
I typically use the same size as the project or one size up depending on how tight my tension is getting.
Nice
Brilliant just what I need. Can I ask what stitch you used on your piece. Looks like a version of moss stitch? Bx
Excellent tutorial. Only thing, How do you bind off?
Thank you for the tutorial. When you make it around to the start how do you join to the beginning of your i-cord?
@MeghanMakesDo
Жыл бұрын
I usually bind off and then use a tapestry needle to seam the ends together.
Nice video 👌 what are your dp needles?
Great! Do you think its too thick for a lightweight shawl? Its a simple garter stitch V-shape and the edges are kinda ugly. Thank you!
Looks great but how do we finish it??? Cast off?
wondering how to finish up the last 3 stitches.
Great tutorial .what if I need a thicker I-cord edge because my yarn is really thin 5 stitches is what I need how to I go about it? Thanks so much
@MeghanMakesDo

Glad you liked it. To make it thicker you'll just add more cast on stitches to start.
Great tutorial Meghan! How would you work 6 or 8 I-cord? I would like to do that for a cardigan I am knitting. Thanks very much:)
@MeghanMakesDo
Жыл бұрын
To do a 6 or 8 I-cord you'll just need to cast on a few more stitches before you start. Hope that helps!
Lovethis! Why didn’t you start at the bottom, where the ribbing is?
@ceciliadurand8187

I was wondering the same, though, the total explanation of the tutorial is very clear, so, it does not change the I -cord in anyways . Good luck ! :)
How do you cast off and join the edging?
Is it recommended to do Icord in needle size larger than project?
@MeghanMakesDo
Жыл бұрын
I usually do it in the same size as the project or a needle larger.
Hi, can you do this on cuffs on a knitted cardigan for fraying cuffs edge?

Hi, excellent tutorial. I have a question, how do I chose the number of needle? Thank you for video ❤️🌹❤️.

Thank you so much. I usually use the same size needle as the original project or a size larger so I don't get too tight of a tension.
