Thank you very much for putting this together. I just went to the low-ride UBL and was getting annoyed by the holster coming up and out on a draw so figured I needed a leg strap of some sort but everywhere I've searched has some proprietary nonsense whereas this is a simple, cheap and effective addition. Like and subbed for this!

Wow great show and duty belt set up. You kids have great stuff we had crap when I was in the Marines 1987 to 1991. We had VIETNAM era crap. My dad was in VIETNAM from 1967 1970. HE HAD WW2 CRAP LOL. I BEEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT SINCE 1995. We used Safariland Basket weave Sam Brown belts with the buckle or the 94 belt with out the buckle. Our pouches and level 2 holsters were all basket weave to. Our Chief was old fashion. No velcro or nylon on his dept. We got a new Chief 10 years back so we could use what ever we wanted. I use a Bianchi duty belt with the plastic buckle in basket weave but Safariland Basket weave pouches.

Awesome video man you really helped me out. I wanted to get a mid ride like a few of my friends suggested with the leg strap but when I went on the website something didn’t look right. It said mid ride but it looked really high up on the belt. Lol I think they got it wrong. It’s definitely low ride. Also thx for the strap idea I had a old crappy drop leg holster when I was a kid playing airsoft but the strap was sturdy so I just used that hahaha thx you saved me like 30 bucks .

@@thatgeardude might be a couple days. I go back on Thursday and can give it a try then. We have people changing back to normal black hawk holsters because of issues this one has caused them. I have stuck with the new one trying to give it the best evaluation I can. This should solve a lot of the issues though.

Do you wear a inner belt ? The safariland holster is always pushing on my sciatic, which causes a lot of pain. I tried the mid rise, still hurt. Got a more flexible belt (issued by my agency), which did remove a bit the pain. I tried without inner belt, and seems to be pushing less on my sciatic. I was looking at your video for a while, and now thinking about setting up my patrol belt without inner with the regular safariland, changing the belt clip with the Austria alpin cobra clip and adding your leg strap system. What do you think ? Trying to get less pain on the right hip

I've seen where people use Dr. Scholl's shoe inserts. They cut the heel end of and glue it on the inside where it presses on your leg.

Can you wear suspenders? Suspenders under an external vest works wonders. You can loosen up the belt slightly (not enough to slosh around but it doesn’t have to be cranked right anymore)

It depends on flexibility and wrist size. I'm a smaller guy so it's easy for me to do it. Have to turn your wrist in the cuff to be able to do it. Kinda hurts but nothing to bad. It's a great lesson for cadets in the academy when I slip cuffs and they have me in the back seat or a holding cell and now I have a weapon because they did not search well enough.

Well if your an experienced firearm owner, then you wouldn’t need a strap for that low ride holster. You just need a good grip on your gun and then draw it with ease! Then it’ll slide out like BUTTAAHH!!
