Its an amazing leverage Mac you used when you showed off the GPT in Notes at the end and then just pointing out the simple fact that we learn more about it of we watched another one of your amazing videos. Awesome video ... I am using Apple Notes very intensely, but you showed me some tips that solve current challenges ... thank you for that. As you mentioned the "scan document" options .... you also can long-press the Apple Notes icon on your iOS device to scan a document, e.g. when you got invoices on paper that you want to archive in Apple Notes.

@@macvincethe blurring while zooming in and out is very disorienting though. But thanks for the video, I’m so used to copying and pasting everything as that how it was for computers for decades. Hard to unlearn that haha.

Very nice. Just got an iPad and am new to things like Safari or Notes. So, I gave it a try by looking up a recipe, figuring out how to highlight some text, make it a note, and open it again! Very nice!

I know this time cropping between lines is a populair KZread thing, but please add some time to breath for me (and you ;-) between the lines. That would make listening so much easier.

Can not get the mini player look only the link (from chrome). how to get the player for YT in notes ? any changes in settings ?

Hi Vince i have another important question for you. When i use your recommended method of capturing a video in notes with the built in player, this is not preserved when exporting the note to a PDF. Seems the only way o retaining the active link to the video in an exported PDF is via the old fashioned way of selecting text and adding a link via the add link menu item. The problem with this is there is no thumbnail and the viewer cannot readily see it. Is this an inherent limitation in the notes app? Exporting to Pages seems to have similar limitations. I welcome your comments and any solutions you can offer. I'm using notes to create a PDF ebook and trying to collect all the content in one place the user needs and wants.

When I add a link just like the way you did yours, it does not show a preview, I dont know why. It use to show a preview but it stopped showing, I dont know why it is so, please help

Great video, to the point. What doesn't work for me, highlight any text in Safari, right click and save to Quick Note, the menu item is not visible at all. I haven't found anything in the settings, maybe I've overlooked something.

I'd love to use Notes for studying but since I'm usually adding sketches with my iPad in between of what I'm typing on the Mac it syncs too slowly (sometimes after minutes) and hence stops my workflow. Would you have any advice on how to enable that realtime functionality?

Love your video and the content. There's always something you never knew on Mac, although I'm using it since 6 years.

Just highlight some text, press Command and K to add a hyperlink, and you can choose one of your existing notes to link to! great for connecting ideas. How to get text multiselect in the Sonoma version of Apple Notes (4:00)?

Wow, let me just start by saying that I normally don't comment on videos, but in your case I have to! Your editing is absolutely amazing, even though you are using plug ins in FCPX the amount of effort you are putting in Sound design and Effects is absolutely incredible just thought you'd appreciate hearing that as sometimes this goes unnoticed by most viewers that aren't into content creation. Plus the content itself is super informative and engaging, you are deffinetly going to go far! I have been using apple notes for a long time and it is by far my preferred piece of software for this matter the only downside I find is the inability to duplicated notes easily this would make my workflow so much better, I have switched to Notion last year but can definitely see myself coming back to apple notes if they add an easy duplicate note/folder option. Anyway sorry about the massive paragraph! keep it up!

And regarding the duplication of notes, can't you just right-click a note and choose Duplicate (at least for me this works with macOS Sonoma)?

While I am not so much in content creation, I like when someone taking note of the finer details that happens behind the scene. For the duplication of the notes - select any note and press Cmd + d 😃 should work in Sonoma. Cheers !

More and more reasons to jump from (multi-platform and free) Microsoft OneNote. Feature wise, there is a competition race. Each got its own strength and workarounds. One hidden gem of Apple Notes is Reminder integration, which in turn is well upgraded in latest iOS (interactive widgets). If only I had iPhone x) PS as always, as trademark of this channel - everything is well presented and covered with a good depth!

Problem I have, and it may be weird, but when you use a tag to send a note to a smart folder, it continues to live inside the generic inbox "Notes" folder. I hate that. So even though it's organized by filterby going to the smart folder down the rode, the note is still sitting there in it's original default location.

In the section of adding a pdf...I only get the first page when I drop it in notes. It does not scroll because it does not seem to have the full pdf file in it. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks for the tips. Great presentation and so much good info. 😊

Hey, thank you very much for the great feedback! That's because this is just a "preview" of your PDF. If you double-click this preview, your Mac will open the PDF as normal. That being said, with the newest version of macOS, your Mac should be able to preview the complete PDF, so maybe check if your Mac needs an update: In System Settings, under General and then Software Update.

Hey, the only way is to additionally save them to your Mac in Finder... Sorry :/

I’ve had my MacBook for like two years next month and I seriously haven’t opened much of anything but Safari and Settings to tinker a little bit initially. I’m subscribing and gonna start watching your vids so I use this for more than streaming the office and music on KZread lol. I didn’t even realize I had like apples version of office for a month after getting it. I have written a bit in their word app though I suppose. I did however, not know that notes even existed til seeing this 🤦🏼

Hi! I used your method of adding a link to a note while watching a video. The mini player does get added but i hear no sound when playing it. Is there some setting i need to change?

Hey! There should be a small speaker icon when playing the video and hovering the mouse over the mini player - click on this speaker icon and there should be sound! By default, Notes will always play the mini player without sound. Hope this helps - and thank you for watching!
