Tried the patch it updated but when you press air mirroring there is no connection switch available for the iphone. My ios is 11.4. Please help.

fully sluggish in my case . just following up with the seller see what's his response. the prpblem resolves if I restart the head unit but the problem comesback again after sometime.

Your system seems pretty cool, but I don't want to use mirroring at all. But, when I accidentally hit mirroring it won't let me switch back to carplay.

Hi i have a ddx7017bt with the wireless wifi adaptor kca wl-100. Will this dowbload enable me to mirror my iphone? I was told it would mirror iphone but i havent been able to get it to work? Any help would be appreciated.

Has to be connected at this stage. There is no units on the market that have Wireless CarPlay at this stage. It is planned for next years models about 12 months away.

HI in one of your other comments - you said "Make sure its on the only thing on the USB and the folder is present. It will work." What is the required folder ? It does not mention the in the Read Me txt - I have a freshly formatted (FAT32 / Master Boot Record) USB drive - with just the downloaded txt file - I followed the instructions in the video but it did not work , could you advise please - thanks

Just load the txt file directly onto the usb.

Mine is getting connected. But mirroring is not happening anyway

I want wireless carplay! I payed 800$ for my head-unit I can’t do the update and the GPS dose not work and can’t do wireless carplay!!!

I couldn't get it to work. Apple got rid of screen mirroring while connected to Car Play. I'm just gonna end up buying a cheap tablet and use my phone as a hot spot.

Hi have tried patch it doesn't seem to update. It's the new kenwood dabs and nav. What the actual file name meant to read? It just say text file!

No longer works for the new apple OS

I manage to get the patch working for apple but KZread is not supported. When mirroring KZread videos kenwood screen goes blank and freezes. Any suggestions to get KZread working. Thanks.

I've found, no apps that have 'dedicated air play' in the App like KZread, Optus Sport & Netflix it doesn't work. But other video apps like Kids KZread do. I wanted to bloody watch EPL in my car. Haha

Works a treat but yes KZread is not permitted. I assume it's for safety reasons that one cannot use while car is turned on. Other than that, works great. I literally downloaded the patch for youtube while waiting in my car, but that just doesn't seem to work. No stress! Thanks guys for the download!

I don't think it's about "not permitted" it's because of the format. KZread's format for AirPlay mirroring is that when it is on, it will not display the actual video on the phone (comes up with message instead "Your video is now displayed on the TV") and the patch is not designed to configure with that. I tested it with all apps that have dedicated apple AirPlay within its Appp and videos won't display, however, apps without dedicated airplay like Kids KZread App will work. But, if you use the web browser for things like KZread instead it will work, and/or request the 'desktop' version depending on what you are trying to watch. Pretty annoying, I've found the Apple CarPlay to be glitchy too.

I can get KZread working on my phone via wireless mirroring I would check phone settings.

Thanks for this, great work. Managed to mirror my iphone as it still runs ios 10. But is it possible to still listen to the radio while doing mirroring of google maps/waze? How to do it?

That is correct the file is small then 1 bit so it comes up as 0 it is the correct file.

For me has a few second audio delay on apple air mirroring. Doesn't matter if it from my MacBook or iPhone 6s+. No delay with Android air mirror. Apple CarPlay over usb takes 2-3 tries most of the times to connect and show up on the unit. If it is on air mirror and connect to the usb to charge the phone it freeze the whole thing and after 20-40sec reboot the Unit. It is unstable. Is there any new firmware that fix this issues? At the moment the only advantage is a better look than the Factory Satnav. Air mirror pretty useless as i need to turn sideway the phone to have full screen. Let's say it is not a big deal, but you can't control the phone from the unit. So you need the both the phone and the unit in front of you as a duplicated screen. -> Just use the phone alone better. Not even go to Siri and google voice control. Basics are work but don't go further or you going to get annoyed. (Probably can learn the keywords and the right timing to work better.) Apple CarPlay or Android auto has very few supported app. Basically nothing else than pandora spotify and they maps. Had no idea that I can't use Sygic or any offline navigation apps as none of them supported on CarPlay or android auto. Not sure how others so happy with this. Give me some idea how to make this more useful. Thanks

Never had an issue with the CarPlay connection via USB I suggest getting genuine cables and make sure not too long as thats probably a voltage issue. When switching from wireless mirroring to CarPlay you need to correctly switch off all the mirroring features or there is an delay in the CarPlay picking up as there is a conflict in the phone output signal. The feature is called Mirroring because thats all its capable of doing so yes phone orientation is what ever angle the phone phone is one. Apps that are officially approved by Apple & Android are shown on their websites and they will continue to add more. This is why the mirroring is handy. Everything has its limitations, personal I like the features but yes you do have to work with them as they are designed.

Still did not work with IOS 11 :(
