Continue. It works! I used to give up after a few weeks but the key is to continue with the treatment. It takes about six months to really clear up skin. I been on it for one and a half months and it has made a huge difference. I moved back home to New Orleans and the humidity and heat really broke me back out just moving back from Atlanta. Its hot in Atlanta and humid but not as hot and humid as New Orleans. The humidity does skin no favors. However, this works. It is basically the cream form of Accutane.

It’s worth it but it takes time patience and a consistent routine that includes sunscreen in the day. Took me a long time to see results and I’ll never look back.

No please don’t,it contains Salicylic acid which can not be combined with Tretinoin it can give a very bad reaction,instead alternate the days you use the cerave acne control and Tretinoin do not use at the same time in the same routine

I Don advice that,especially if you’re just starting out,your skin needs to build a tolerance to Tretinoin that’s why you need to slowly start it once a week,then increase usage to 2 or 3 times a week and stick to that,I wouldn’t even advise to use it everyday

Just came across your video, I am impressed with how well you know tretinoin. You spoke like a dermatologist and everything you said is correct. I want to start using it, so I decided to educate myself first by reading about it and listening to dermatologists on KZread. My problem is that I live in the UK and is only available with a prescription. Can I buy it from Nigeria online?? ​@@lawalololade6318I also started with 0.05% the gel. I use CeraVe dry skin lotion even though I don't have dry skin to combat the effects of tretinoin. I only had slight purging (a pimple or two popping up but gone in like 2 days). If no access to CeraVe or you prefer sth else, another moisturizer with ceramides or high lipid content can help mitigate side effects. But before you start I'll advise a two week break from actives in your skin routine and focus on face wash, moisturizing serum (optional) and face moisturizer and sunscreen. This is in case of broken skin barrier, to allow skin to heal and be able to take the treatment. Remember, when you start to either do the sandwich method or mixing. A pea size too. And the simpler the routine, the better tretinoin works. Good luck and cheers to great skin.

Hello there xx Thank you so much for your explanation but now I’m a bit confused. I’m currently treating hyperpigmentation as well as trying to fix my skin barrier. My skincare person recommend the same Tretinoin in this video but it’s 0.05%. It’s my first time using it and I’ve a dry skin. She recommended that I use it every other day but twice in a week, however, after cleansing and toning, I was told to go in with Tretinoin, then hydroquinone( because I’m treating hyperpigmentation) and then go in with my moisturizer. The side effects i’ve experienced so far is peeling, dryness ( so I’ve had to double up with my moisturizer. I also never forget to wear sunscreen during the day) and lately it’s been rashes. I noticed most people talk about peeling and not rashes so I want to know if this is normal. Also, do you think this is due to going in with Tretinoin before a moisturizer ? What do you recommend I do please ? Do I mix my moisturizer and Tretinoin like In this video or I mix the hydroquinone and Tretinoin and then go with my moisturizer r to finish ? I’ll appreciate your response immensely. Hopefully you see this.

I recommend you use Tretinoin on its own first,do not use with Hydroquinone to start off,or you can use them on seperate nights Use the sandwich method, moisturizer, Tretinoin, moisturizer

Hello pretty lady, i just watched your video&i must say it really informative so i subscribed. I have a question& i would appreciate your response, i have been using medix 5.5 retinol for morning sometime now, its okay for me but i still experience rash on my forehead, so i bought tretinion for night routine but haven't started using it. Now my question is, can i use tretinion once or twice in a week for night time and continue my retinol for the day? Will there be bad reactions using tretinion 1-2 time in a week as night with moisturizer&retinol for everyday with moisturizer for mornings?

Black soap can be very drying which could lead to irritation so I really don’t advise but yes you can use pears it’s mild enough

@@winnifredbandjie3926 exactly! It would be too much,Tretinoin is already very potent enough on it’s own so you need to pair it with a gentle and hydrating moisturizer so it doesn’t irritate your skin

Hey! I started retinol at 0.35% so a mild retinol, If you have never used retinol, then your doctor will most likely give you the mildest strength tretinoin, but dont worry it may be mild but 20 times more powerful than retinol. However if you have used retinol for a few weeks or a few months then tell your doctor and since your skin is used to a retinoid, then your doctor will most likely consider giving you the moderate strength tretinoin, but yes when introducing a new ingredient especially something as powerful as a retinoid, (this includes retinols, retinals, tretinoins), then start with a low strength so a 0.25% is what derms usually reccomend for beginners

I had lots of scars and deep hormonal acne. I started off on the weakest strength and then increased to the next strength after a few months. I was at the highest strength at about a year or so.

You should start off slow and use it a few times a week at night and then work your way up to every night. Sunscreen and moisturizer is essential. I would never stop using it unless I was pregnant. Best thing I ever did for my skin.

Change ur cleanser pls..don’t use tretinion with cerave sa smoothing cleanser..sa means salicylic acid which is a powerful BHA and shouldn’t be used with tretinion… I hope this helps..

In Canada you need a family doctor to get you prescription 😊
