How to ace your interview with the American farmer! What to ask him?
It's not to say you have the job, but here is your chance to seal the deal, put a ring on it😜
Make sure about the time difference when you call
Make sure you can be undisturbed during the interview
Address the person who interview you as sir or mam
Listen carefully to what they say or ask
Have a pen and paper ready
They will basically tell you about the farm, what they do during the season and what they expect of you
Remember, don't lie be honost, most farms are family owned
They might ask you about your skills and ask if you can perform various tasks as requested
Be grateful, thankful and don't sound despirate
Remember to not talk to much, don't try and explain why you can and cannot do things, "A simple awser is much more efficient than a complicated explination"
What to ask the farmer when given the opportunity?
Makes sure that you ask him about the hour rate
Ask how many hours you will work per week or what is expected (remember now that the hours per week x the rate per hour will be your weekly income)
Ask about the accommodation, will you share and do they have wifi?
Is transport provided?
How far are you from the nearest grocery store
Do they pay weekly or fortnightly
Do they believe you are the right candidate for the position
