That is a great mindset to have. You have to accept that the change will occur and it won't look as good as before but it definitely does get better, you just have to adapt and work hard to get there!

This video has changed my life. My whole outlook on everything that exists in this world, in fact even in the entire universe. I can never look at anything I know the same way ever again. This video represents emotions most humans could never comprehend. But I can. Thanks to this video I have been awakened to many things previously thought unimaginable. I am now motivated to study. Thank you.

Huge thanks man currently finished 3 out of 4 of my yr13 mocks and feeling rlly icky because I spent hours and hours since September revising for them just to go into the exams mind blank but after watching I realise my revision method are just very inefficient and slow because I would literally spend 2 hours rewriting one spec point :( but now I will try out these methods for tomorrows final mock!! 🙏 thanks again!!

Thank you for this video! I’ve been focusing on myself a lot lately whilst trying to read practice questions properly because I got a D in law for this flaw. But yeah, this video has been helpful to further understand why I shouldn’t give up on increasing my predicted grade (as well as increase the grades for my exams) to get into my dream university even if getting an A* is hard. I should actually revise now. I hope that you and everyone watching this will achieve their ambitions! C: -Never gonna give our goals up, never gonna let them down…now I say goodbye-

Hi Jaden, a very helpful and insightful video on the realities of going into the realms of higher education. Quick question, when would you recommend making anki flashcards? Thanks.
@JadenYee
Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed! I would recommend making flashcards anytime you learn new content which is important. Flashcards are good for memorising factual information so anytime you realise you won't remember something, make a question out of it.
Thanks for the useful tips and advice, although i've only just started yr12, hearing from someone who has done maths and bio and chem at a-level (which is what i take) makes the journey of A-levels feel a little less daunting!

If you have an entrance exam then revise for it at the latest summer after year 12. You don’t want to lose a spot at university over an exam and when I sat mine, I was crying in the exam hall with all the other students taking the exam. Not a good experience.

It will be worth all the work in the end!
I’ve just started year 12, how much do you recommend revising now half a term in? I work on the weekends and find it very difficult to balance homework, revision and work
@JadenYee
Жыл бұрын
I also worked part time on the weekends during sixth form so understand your view. It does take a lot of your time and can be draining at times. If you notice it starts affecting your studies, then I would recommend asking them to either change your hours, reduce them, or if possible then consider alternatives to the job if necessary and if you can afford to do that. For homework, I would always recommend doing it as soon as possible, this may be during the journey home, or as soon as your get home. For revision, find a method and plan that works for you and try doing it in your free time. If you require more time, then you can wake up early or spend more of your free time dedicated to doing it, it really depends on your situation and what you want to get out of it. It doesn't really matter how long you revise for but I would try to do some every day, even if it is reading over a topic you have covered or going through corrections in a paper. Do it until you are satisfied and understand what you intended to learn and you will see improvements. Hope this has helped.
really needed this video, so many people around me are dropping out :(

Glad you enjoyed, sixth form does get better eventually!
In year 13 for bio and chem- did you bother going over AS papers i did many for year 12 exams and i know theyre much easier than alevels- theres lot of alevel new spec and old spec papers would you just recommend that or doing as papers too
@JadenYee
Жыл бұрын
I think that AS papers could be useful if you are focusing on specific topics in year 12 which you struggled on but I would first go through as many Year 13 papers as possible, trying other exam boards if necessary because they can be quite similar depending on the subject
11:00 You see this is the source of my fear. I'm too scared to act sometimes because I don't want to waste my future😭 how did you cope with year 13? It's suddenly got harder and I'm finding it hard again and I lost all motivation
@JadenYee
Жыл бұрын
I understand how you feel! I also found Yer 13 so much harder but its really important to keep going and to believe you can do it. It also takes a lot of getting used to and everything sort of overwhelms you at once which can be very stressful but it does get better throughout. Think of the end goal and your long summer holiday after exams. Everything you do now is to get those A-levels finished and once you understand that fully, you can just think of doing one thing at a time. Just think of your next step and you'll get through it!
Could you make a video of how you got an A* in biology a level
@JadenYee
Жыл бұрын
Future video of course!
What sort of time you reckon is needed to start achieving As following ur tips?
@JadenYee
Жыл бұрын
It depends on how much work you do really as everyone will have different expectations and results, everyone will also be doing different things in terms of studying. I would recommend adjusting anything I say to suit yourself as I am only giving my advice which has worked for me so I would try it out and if it doesn't work after a while, then change it. I would say that if you are starting in Year 12, it normally takes months to get used to the new style of exams and nearer the end of the year you will be doing much better in terms of results.

I’m currently in year 12 studying maths,further maths, physics and computer science. I’ve been predicted an A for each subject but I’m aiming for A*’s if possible as I want to study computer science at university and there tends to be high grade requirements.

My dream is to study mathematics at Oxford uni , can you give me some advices ? And thanks for this video 🙏
@JadenYee
Жыл бұрын
Oxford is a tough uni to get into so you’ll need to do a lot of work! I’m sure there are many videos and websites which specifically targets Oxbridge but the basis is all the same. You’ll need a very strong passion in maths and you’ll need to do a lot of extra curricular to prove it and develop your skills. You want to try and stand out so doing as much as possible will give you the most exposure. Then you will have entrance exams which you’ll need to prepare for to get interviews. Do research and find out more info from there!
what do you mean my A levels haven't started in year 12 it gets worse than this
Relative was going to do dentistry but seems the good days of high salary are behind US. Only seems good in US. What salary are you hoping to achieve?
@JadenYee
Жыл бұрын
I'm not really thinking of the exact salary yet but starting salary will range and you can find lots of info online. The US definitely pay more in some aspects but it really depends once again. I believe you can make a success out of anything and my main driving force isn't the financial aspect but it does come with its advantages.
