since hes playing hail of blades, the moment vex throw a random spell she gets outtraded because 3 autos, passive and scorch. You can even see Ekko trying to bait her by clicking forward in some moments.

you will need to dodge some of her abilities , because thats what trading is all about , as you can see xlb's movement is not random but he is able to dodge her abilities , and then jumps into her to trade effectively , otherwise tanking her abilities will make you very low on health and you will eventually not be able to trade and lose the lane , you are not supposed to dodge every ability , but at least when you take damage , give it back
