How this lab couple pioneered ecological farming in Coorg
What does it take for the world to say we are going to stop applying toxins?
Listen to Dr. Sujata Goel and her partner Dr Anurag Goel explain the need for consumers to stand up against excessive use of chemicals in modern-day agriculture. The duo left their comfortable "lab jobs" in Delhi and moved to Kodagu in 1994 to start an ecological farm. Today, they are champions of the organic movement after having successfully grown crops such as coffee, cardamom, pepper and vanilla without disturbing the existing wilderness. The farmer couple also spends a lot of time raising awareness on environmental issues and the urgent need for biodiversity conservation.
