You don't hear about them much anymore. I think people are more vigilant & it's easier to get caught. I mean all they need to find is a hair, shoe print, fabric of clothing. They can track a printed sheet of paper out of a printer. Every printer has a microscopic symbol that serializes it came from that printer.

I live in Wisconsin and I’m happy I was born in 2000 , we had some of the worst and creepiest serial killers like Jeffery dahmer and Ed gein, and right next door in Chicago was John Wayne Gacy, watching this stuff about them is interesting but very unsettling. I wonder how things got so out of hand for them and what killing did for them mentally like did it give them a high and euphoric rush so they wanted to keep doing it to get that rush I just don’t know .

My grandmother met Ted Bundy. The story she told me was that there was a guy on the side of the road and his car was broken down and he had a broken leg. My grandmother pulled over and offered to give him a ride and he got in the car. The thing is my grandmother had her son (my dad) and 3 other boys in the backseat. And she believed that the only reason Ted didn’t do anything to her was because her son and his friends were all in the backseat of the car.

What's really freaky is this story my dad told me: When he was in college in Utah, there was a girl in his class who was worried about going out to her car after class, because her class got out after dark and Ted Bundy was out there. So, in the hallway, with everyone milling around, she asked a guy to walk her out to her car. That guy was Ted Bundy. He walked her out to her car, and she got in, drove off, and was safe, not because the guy she asked was trustworthy, but because SHE ASKED HIM IN THE PRESENCE OF OTHERS. If he'd killed her after walking her out, everyone would have known it was him. Letting it be known that she asked him to walk her out saved this woman's life. Scary and cool at the same time. (And yes, my dad is a Utah baby from Utah parents in the Salt Lake City area, so it's not this absurd thing. Salt Lake City isn't that big, and it was even smaller at the time.)

What scares me most about Bundy is that he’s charismatic and good looking. We’ve been conditioned to believe good guys are attractive and likable while bad guys are the opposite. While it’s naive', the world feels like it makes more sense when our “psychopaths” fit our visual and cultural perspective. But he’s a reminder how anyone can be much more dangerous than you think.

Interesting fact: my mom was almost one of Ted Bundy’s victims, but something stopped her from “helping” him. She said something in her head shouted “no” when she stepped towards him and she listened to that voice. She was about in her late teens at the time. She didn’t know who he was until a couple years later when she saw him on the news and recognized him.

My family JUST had an experience with an actual serial killer, it's wild. We were rehoming our cats to him and he gave off a really weird vibe, but he had this awesome cat room built for them so we just brushed it off. Fortunately it turned out he was extremely allergic to cats (how he didnt know this before building a cat room, idk) and we had to find them another home. We just found out that he was arrested for murder, and had confessed to murdering others! He had been working at an elderly home and I guess one of the women went missing. He gets pulled over a week later for unrelated reasons and they found her body in his trunk!! What's scary is we had our friend drop off the cats, who is an elderly woman. Luckily she had brought her adult son with her, but the guy was apparently chatting her up and wanted to see her again. Soo scary to think about what could have happened if she agreed, or hadn't brought her son with her...

There was no handle on her door so she couldn’t jump out. He asked her to take her hat off, and when she did he realized she had really short hair and started screaming at her and left her on the side of the road. He liked murdering women with long brown hair. Her haircut saves her life!

She worked for a suicide helpline Bundy worked along side her. And then he was arrested she couldn’t believe he was her friend and she’d worked along side him.
