The Lovers doesn't always mean what it implies. It can mean lust, or lower vibration thinking. Also depends on the deck too or where the card placement is or the type of layout. Ive only ever gotten the lovers as a representation of a choice. He could be choosing himself or something else over exploring a relationship with you. I’ve heard people say it can represent a bond. So maybe you’re good friends. I got the lovers for a certain person who does like me too but is choosing to stay with someone else. I didn’t know they were taken until after I confessed feelings.
