Great episode. I needed this. I have had a cortisol influx for months now. Our oldest son shot and killed himself in February…he had been staying with us for several weeks, after his wife kicked him out. I was already dealing with stress while he was here…but losing him has rocked my world. Not a day goes by without me breaking down. I am also the wife of an OTR trucker, and the sole caretaker of our two special needs teenagers. I have gained back 6 or 7 pounds in the past few months…I do live off of coffee (no cream, as dairy is not my friend). Had this happened two years ago, I would have joined my son in a heartbeat…the fact that I am still here, still caring for my family, still caring for my home, etc…it is all due to carnivore. This way of eating saved my life two years ago and it is saving my life now! ❤️

I'm not ever counting calories, I just eat beef, eggs, and sardines with mustard and olive oil and have been steadily losing weight with a few stalls in between. As soon as I start counting calories, I'm going to fail. The best thing is I have learned what real hunger and what real satisfaction in eating is, I feel like I'm not broken anymore.

I wasn't "stalled" as I still was up and down 3 lbs... but I did a 4 day egg fast where I only ate eggs and butter in that time period. Dropped 4lbs initially added back in meat, all good, added in s bit of cheese and back up a lb so cutting cheese out again and will see how things go. I ate 8 to 10 home raised farm eggs a day and the same in tbsp of butter a day. With being on the farm and having chores I naturally fast 18:6-19:5, two meals a day. Back to having meat I'm eating 6-7 eggs per day and 1/2-3/4lb of meat. I literally cannot stomach more food, though I know folks would say I am under eating. I can't get anymore down.

I have taken off 4 of those pounds. Honestly there is alot of noise in my head, of what to do. I subscribe to a lot of KZreadrs, so that is why the noise. Lower fat, lower protein, stop this, try this. I am going to look up and study the TDEE. I am on those last few pounds. I really don't think I'm eating enough. my wife and I are on strict carnivore seven straight months with no cheating . She eats a lot of butter. I lost 45 pounds within three weeks and fixed fatty liver , type 2, and lowered blood pressure. My doctor was amazed and wants to take the plunge now. My wife however, was very healthy but over weight an lost eight pounds , gained back six and is super faithful. She is so frustrated. she watched a ton of your and others videos and used macros and made sure she was 80/20. Her measurements are the same. blood is the same, just does not seem to lose. I feel so bad for her,but she pushes on.

I agree with the members who mentioned cutting back the fat a little, that was a huge one for me. Hearing "Eat more fat! Add more fat! Eat a stick of butter!" from so many influencers really did a number on me. Everyone is different and like Kelly says, use your own life and your own results to guide you. For me, adding a lot of fat when i had a lot of fat to lose was not working for weight loss. Cutting back a little on fat and reducing cheese and cream consumption has absolutely resulted in weight loss again for me.

Saying this because like some of the ladies have said, social situations can feel isolating when you don’t eat the stuff ands don’t drink the things. Purse bacon and pickle juice cocktail is a life saver! Plus, the fancy glass makes it feel fancy, and who doesn’t love to feel fancy every now and then?

Hi ladies! You all look great! I've been carnivore for 4 years, and I've been on a weight loss stall for 2 &1/2 of that. Im down 46lbs but still 25lbs from my goal. Im a 65 year old widow. My problem is i can't afford a coach. Im on social security and can barely meet my rent & utilities. I've tried eating more, and I've tried eating less, but i can't break my stall. But, im off of all meds and feeling great. Thanks for the video! Its inspirational!

My heart breaks for your loss. I know that is a repetitive comment you hear. It Is such a difficult problem to show the compassion you need. Keep eating carnivore. It is obviously giving you the nutrition you need to cope with all that you have been engulfed. Please remember that God loves you and will be there through it all with you. My husband passed unexpectedly 21 years ago. It is not something we get over, but rather, we find ways to overcome our deep and continual challenges. God gives us the strength, knowledge, discernment, and wisdom to overcome When we most want to give up. I firmly believe carnivore is a gift to us pioneering the way from dietary misinformation. We are fortunate to have the right food for proper nutrition. God bless you. Please continue to let us know your continued success. Thank you for being so open.

I gain weight eating meat, I don’t feel full. So I have to do more keto so I can get veg to help fill me up. I’m lifting weights 2 sometimes 3 times a week and walking, I have started walking more too. I’m 5’2” 60yrs young. I also clean houses, so move all day. Right now I’m trying to tone up and get stronger and if I lose a couple more lbs. I will be happy. I have gut and histamine/MCAS that I’m trying to heal. I also have high cholesterol and thyroid issues.

Kelly, you are inspiring in so many ways. Thank you for yet another helpful video. I started tracking what I eat but I have a question: Is meat measured raw or cooked? Is a 1/4 pound burger the raw weight of the burger? I have been measuring cooked ground beef, but there is probably a pretty big difference in portion between 1/4 lb cooked and 1/4 lb raw.Thank you.

I've been cheating a bit; had a serving of pinto beans (with lard) and dish of flan on my son's birthday and Seattle Chocolate Truffle. It's so hard when the goodies are sitting out on the counter, and I have always had a sweet tooth. Regardless of these missteps, I am back down to 136.8. My goal is 132 (I am 69, 5'1" with a medium to large frame). My brain fog and morning dizziness is about gone but I still suffer from sciatica back pain than goes down my right leg from a pedestrian/car accident 20 years ago. I eat full fat yogurt mixed with lemon juice and stevia daily to improve my gut health and help move the oxalates out. I've been on carnivore (with the cheating) since January 1st, 2024, and down 5 pounds with a loss of 2 inches off my waist. I saw my doctor last week and explained to her what I was doing, and she seemed to be encouraging. I have been on anti-depressants for chronic insomnia for 15-20 yrs. I'm trying so hard to get off of these, but it has been very challenging.

I keep a detailed notebook of my food eaten, blood sugar and ketones so I need to find a TDEE calculator. I've tried some of the food tracker apps and they are too hard to use. Thanks..

My recommendation-start carnivore for weight loss. Stay carnivore for all the other health gains. While staying, use your list of health gains as encouragement. Keep adding to it. Weigh yourself infrequently and be surprised when the scale moves simply because your body is less in distress. If that DOESN’T happen, it’s simply time to join Kelly’s group. She queen of strategies to end weight loss stalls. (Offers way more than tracking, and makes tracking super easy if you decide you want to collect some helpful data to help end your stall.) I think people should always start off Carnivore trying to eat intuitively. If that doesn’t work, then I suggest trying what a TDEE recommends and gauge it’s accuracy by how your body reacts. Use that data and feedback from your own body to make adjustments. -Kelly

@@Kim-pr6glWhat’s confusing? Just plug your data in to carb manager, for me it says for weight loss eat roughly 1400-1500 calories a day when I’m sedentary. More if you’re active. I had 2 quarter pound burger patties, 8 eggs and 3 Tbsp of butter today which comes out to 1350 calories, so still under. That’s A LOT OF FOOD lol. I’m perfectly satisfied and slowly losing so it works.
