That was awesome!!! That brought me back when I was a young teen and got my first set of speakers to a massive system, and I used to spend hours placing speakers and twisting them around till I found the perfect sweet spot, and also used my favorite sound track to find, not only the perfect placement for the speakers, but also the perfect EQ settings!!! It's good to use the modern tools of speaker placement, but then use your ears to fine tune your final results!!! Awesome show Mitch!!!

Love to hear it, Ronald! 💙🔥
Finding the right build up is number one thing for home studios. I rearranged my entire studio to set it up around the build up sweet spot and it took my mixes to the next level
Another great interview!!!!
Informative as always that Allen
My home studio is in the basement. It's a 12' by 16' room but because it's actually the crawl space, the ceiling is only 5' 10". And my floor is concrete. I have a carpet on the floor, acoustic panels behind my Kali LP6s and my little Edirol MA-15D monitors. I'm just right now building the studio and will be buying bass traps for the corners and acoustic panels for the side walls. I have a large diffuser on the rear wall and I'm filling the space between the ceiling joists with rock wool which I'm hiding with home made panels made up of a frame with grill cloth. The room is already starting to sound surpisingly good!
Very informative, thanks for this. Cheers

Not too helpful😢
Will dispel something as now having an accurate room and really good monitoring. There is no perfect position. The point also is to learn your system.
I don't like guessing or using tricks to hear bass/kick; l just like to "hear it" ftom the monitors!

Trying to sort out sweet spots drives me crazy I think I may go a little too ocd/audiophile about it in an unhealthy way.
🙂❤
So, if someone is standing off to the right of him, he wants them to be able to hear the same center information as him? Interesting.

Just experiment and use your ears…
