I don't think that silence bothers them when they are so busy with new supply. I believe I am dead to him. I am suffering and missing him while he is living his life and forgot about me. This healing journey is brutal and I truly hope to one day see the light. I'm still blown away that we love them so much and they treat us so poorly and not care one bit. Reaching out for answers is not even an option. They have no idea how to communicate and can't ever talk about any emotions and don't like it when we do.

Each time I left my Ex or he discarded me I would send him a last message telling him how I felt, then block him and go no contact. I wouldn't know if he'd tried contacting me unless I looked at a folder in my phone that saved blocked content. I'd learned to wean myself from looking at that content so I could focus on the day at hand. I didn't read any messages etc he would send through my phone in case he said something to trigger me to react and as I said, I wanted to be able to function. As ea h day and week went by as I was suffering withdrawal from him like an addiction going cold turkey, I felt bad but I also felt stronger because of it. I resisted the urge to contact him by thinking of the detox pain I was going through and why. My brain was telling me how far I'd come in healing even though I had a way to go. I am in the process of divorcing my narc. I had to go to our apartment last weekend to do "inventory" on items I need to get out. (He is making it difficult through the courts right now). He had the power shut AND brought his new "supply" with him. When I didn't even flinch and just did my "inventory" (as best I could in a dark, hot apartment), he kept trying to pick a fight! I didn't take the bait! I just kept calm and quiet and he didn't know what to do! It was hilarious! Now...hopefully the judge will see what he did and know this incident is proof of his abuse! 25 years of abuse! I'm done! This channel has helped me so much and it is so much appreciated! I won't lie...I've been sick to my stomach since, but I won't let him ever see the weak me again!

So then I felt bad for them. I knew the abuse that awaited them in that relationship. What I am realizing is that silence is an answer too. And, I don't owe anyone an explanation of how I choose to live my life. And, I don't give all of me to another person as a sacrifice for "Love" because that's not love. I belong to God, not man. And, when it's over, it's over. And, I don't go back, I move forward. And, When I'm done, I'm done. And, when it's final (divorce), it's final. And, our actions do speak louder than our words. And, when someone shows us who they really are, we need to believe them. Words (rhetoric) are often used by manipulative people to persuade people with a kind heart to believe in lies, and comply. Trust has to be earned. And, that takes time. Watch their actions, and see if their actions line up with their words. If they don't, then that's all the proof a person needs to know in order to let them go. And, If anyone is rushing, and pushing something on another person it's a huge red flag. Do not ever let anyone rush, or push you into doing anything. That's where I messed up with the ex narc that I married. He came into my life like a whirlwind, and completely swept me off of my feet. I felt like he was Romeo, and I was Juliet. It was all a game being played. He was acting. It was a planned out Make believe scripted act. His performance was to gain my energy and to be applauded. He needed my energy, and attention to feed his grandiosity. He became a star performer from my reaction, and constant applauding, and attention. I was so very young, vulnerable, and naive. He was older than me. He groomed me. He soaked in my whole dysfunctional childhood of abuse by both of my parents. Once he knew that I was broken, he pounced on me like prey. Then, He rushed me to marry him right away. He rushed me to have his children right away. He rushed me for the entire 32 years of our marriage. I put me last, and him first. And, all along the way, he was lying, hiding, cheating and manipulating me, but I couldn't see it. He had me so screwed up in the head that I was living in a fantasy world. I was oblivious to reality. He's most definitely a Covert. So, he hid things really well. That's why it took so long to finally see what was happening. I lost myself due to the mind games. But, God has saved me from complete destruction. God was with me all of the way. Looking back now, I'm seeing the moments where the Holy Spirit specifically warned me, but I didn't listen. Always, Always, listen to the subtle hints. Listen to those gut feelings that tell you that something is wrong. Those feelings are from God.

You just described my covert narcissist former “friend.” She and I seemingly had so much in common (love bombing), but when any questions were asked, she would go to pieces (narcissistic rage). One thing I noticed in the beginning, she was a busybody who loved to gossip. Suddenly there were “miscommunications“ and “misunderstandings.“ Any conflict where she was the common denominator, she often tried to excuse it away and sweep it under the rug as wires being crossed. She immediately turned it around on me trying to make me seem like the bad guy (projection). Even minor disagreements or differences of opinion, she treated like it was a personal affront to her oft mentioned but never seen “honor” and turned it into a screaming match. I saw other friendships she had crumble and go down in flames. She was more than willing to trash-talk these people that she supposedly cared so much about. Honestly, it made me very uncomfortable. She needed a sounding board and I was her unwilling, reluctant audience member. I heard many a story where she was the victim and everyone else was the butthole. Who was the common denominator? Her. How much of the story was flipped to depict the other party as the villain and her as the innocent bystander? All of it. It was soon that I found out she was trash-talking me too, despite her proclamation that I was her “best friend” or “friend for life.” Then the utter lack of respect for boundaries and trampling all over those boundaries that I laid down began. She dangled her kids in front of me to get me to give her money. It was supposed to be a loan, but, of course, she never paid back all of it. When I pressed her for it, the mask came off and I got to see her true self. It wasn't pretty. The only reason I stuck around, as long as I did, was because I cared about her children. They didn't deserve the existence she had sentenced them to. Tragically, they grew up to be just like her: entitled, selfish, mean-spirited, petty thieves. To make a long story short, in no particular order, a list of the atrocities she committed against me include, but are not limited to: defaming me to anyone who would listen after I demanded she pay back the money she owed, spreading an entirely untrue rumor I caught an STI from a one-night stand, outing me to my extremely conservative Italian Roman Catholic homophobic father (we were already estranged and barely on speaking terms, but her malicious actions caused him to completely disown me and she showed no remorse), the day my father died, she had nerve to say, and I quote, that the two of us “never got along anyway“ and weeks after that repugnant statement, she, without even batting an eyelash, shamelessly asked (demanded) that I share my non-existence inheritance with her because she had lost yet another job due to poor attendance. I cut off all contact with her more than eight years ago and my life is far less stressful without her in it. She didn't even notice that I had blocked her on everything and changed my cell phone number for months. It was only when she tried to use the death of a mutual acquaintance as an excuse to contact me (and turn the tragedy into a story about herself), that she finally realized I had cut contact. I later found out from a mutual friend (who I was fortunately able to wake up to her toxicity and has also since cut contact), that my former friend, then a 50-something mother and grandmother, threw a tantrum that would have embarrassed a toddler. How dare I say enough is enough and choose to no longer be exposed to her viper venom? She wasn't done abusing me. Tough crap. Of course, to her, me taking back the power was not in any way acceptable. She demanded my friend, block me to show solidarity with her. When he refused, she tried to turn him into her flying monkey and get him to spy on me because she was [wait for it] convinced I was talking about her. When he refused, stating that she wasn't as interesting as she thinks she is, she flipped out on him, too. He wasn't used to seeing her like that. It was the beginning of the end that caused him to start asking questions and when she subjected him to the silent treatment, he took it as a hint to cut her off completely. As for me, I hated her for a long while, not just because of the money or the horrible things she did to me, but because of the wasted time. I can't get those years back. After doing some soul searching, I realized that that she is a truly broken and hollow individual not capable of having anything resembling a conscience. I still don't like her, but it is through the grace of God, that I was able to privately forgive her and I repeatedly ask him, when I pray, to give her the ethereal slap upside the head so she will, hopefully, one day finally get a clue. The downside to free will is a person has to want to change. The odds, of my former friend ever admitting she has a problem, are about as likely as a Kardashian winning an Oscar.

This is exactly what I just went through. Absolutely to a tee. I’ve now gone no contact, blocked and deleted on everything for almost two weeks. I already feel way less anxious and am at peace in my daily life. I do think about her but then I quickly remind myself of the hardship she put me through and that gives me strength to keep going. I sympathize and understand what you mean about having time wasted. Fortunately for me it wasn’t too long but still, it sucks. I’m trying to take it as a learning experience as none of this was ever taught in school or by my peers or elders. I have to forgive myself first, and know that it wasn’t your fault. This person is not mentally stable and has no business raising children or manipulating, and abusing people. I’m glad you got out of that situation with your life. I pray God will bless and protect you brother 👊🏾❤️🙏

I broke contact and this time it lasted 6 months, she contacted me and again I tried it again. This time I broke it off and I am going to stay away from her. Yes a female narcissist!!! One this you said that is soooooo true. Going back to them is a BIG MISTAKE!! As true as the oxygen one breath. Going back to a narcissist is the worst thing one can do. I understand, I understand now. It's like why the Narcissist will very rarely if at all apologize because they know if the roles were reversed they would hold what you did above your head and would drag you over hot colds because of it until sufficient time had passed for them so in their minds that's what they think you'd do if they apologized to you for anything, but you wouldn't, you'd just want a recollection of wrong doing so you can move forward to get past it to be healthy - but that's what the Narcissist fears because they are very punishing people so generally that's why you won't get them apologizing which is why it leaves a normal person frustrated

It takes TWO people to participate in an unhealthy relationship. They aren't the only ones emotionally broken. It's time for people to begin evaluating self. You're blaming them from treating you wrong, while to remain in situations that allow them to treat you wrong.

But it’s beginning to be a bit uncomfortable that word gets to my ex. If there’s so much as a scratch on the child, she will contact me and harass me about it. She also heard I was at a childrens bday party with friends and commented about that also. It’s scary when a narc may use the child as means of contact and harassment. I want to tell the nanny that I’m uncomfortable but it’s hard and it will also spark rage. Damned if you do dammed if you don’t.

I use the silent treatment to show a narcissist his place which is that he's not so high up on my list of priorities. I also use it post him/her discarding me to make them feel vulnerable sans my high quality supply and to make them return after a time to me. I'm always prepared for the second discard by a narcissist and by then I'm emotionally detached. I never block a narcissist or any other trouble maker because it's immature and cruel. If they want to contact me, welcome. If they're abusive on phone, I listen until they get it off their chest and I offer soothing suggestions. I say, let's talk either superficial matters or personal while I busy myself with my life activities. I could visit a narcissist after his/her return but with reduced contact.

Silent treatment is for my survival. If they get a narcissistic injury that is not my fault. I need to concentrate on me. Remember when you were in the narcissistic relationship they did the silent treatment to you. You don't do it for revenge, but, to take care of yourself. They can think all that want that you are doing it to hurt them, but, that isn't the truth. I don't hate the person, in fact, I am happy because I know now why I picked toxic people in my life. Remember they have the maturity of a 7 or 8 year old. Don't worry about how they take the silent treatment it is necessary for your healing and growth.

Here's what happens to me. My narcissistic gf will be silent for about 3-4 days. When she reaches out to me, I don't respond for almost the same amount of days she was silent with me. Then she reaches out again and is all upset saying, Where are you? Why aren't you talking to me? Did you block me? And I reach out after about half an hour. She's so happy to hear from me. She's very talkative and we Video chat for several hours then end it. She then goes back to her same rountine of ignoring me. I repeat the same tactic again. I really hate doing that but it works, every single time. It's always pretty close to the same time when she comes back. Again, every single time. It's really getting old. I don't want to keep doing this so eventually I might just go full no contact, forever. She was abused by her father up until 6 years of age, when he died. He was beating her, her 2 sisters and their mother. That's probably where she began to develope her abusive and controling ways. Her husband left her about 9 years ago. He was cheating on her for a long time. She hasn't married nor has had a physical relationship since then.

No contact and radical acceptance is the key to happiness. And self love ofcourse. It hurts but its the only way and there simply is no other way. Your life will only improve when you leave your narc, cause narcs don't want you to prosper, or to be happy. The narc only feels good him/herself when you are in misery. It makes them feel better for a short while. Beware. Your misery is their supply. There is no future for you as long as you stay with your narc. So keep watching those videos, The more you know how bad narcs really are (very bad), the easier it becomes to leave them behind you. And never believe what the narc says cause they will say anything to keep you around. They will even tell you they love you. Haha. You have a great name Mohamed Ali. Life your life according to it and everyting wil be fine in the end. Best wishes from the Netherlands. You are not alone.

I’m wondering, are all cases final? Lot of fluidity upon different people, different dynamics, different parameters of supply, amount of supply, vs the nominal supply… because I’ve seen a relationship, very similar to mine and the ones you describe…. She came back, and it’s been ok for a long time, they chalked it up to confusion, cold feet, but if iwas guessing, the supply he offered was so much more extraordinary then what she’s used too… too much so she sank the rest of her supply… because even healthy relationships have flying monkeys, friends to please, peer pressures, not a lot separates the 2 except cycles… that’s the red flag, timing n cycles…. I too am the biggest supply, she’s never had anything like this, so her narcissistic cycle is very wounded and confused, she’s experiencing a fork in the road too…, but I think, they all go through it ,but it’s how long in life do they meet a supply not known to them? Is the reactions and filters the same?

Where's hate there is no room for love to give to those who do love you. You owe her nothing if you are being abused. It's much better to start loving yourself instead of waiting for love that never comes.
