How the Minnesota Twins Finally Broke Their Playoff Curse (20 Years)

Спорт

The Minnesota Twins are one of the most difficult franchises to root for with the longest playoff losing streak across all of the top 4 divisions in North America. But with their triumph over the Toronto Blue Jays last October, the club and their fans finally said goodbye to the curse that has haunted the team for over two decades...

I’m an admin for Minnesota Twins!, the largest Twins fan group on Facebook. I shared this video within our group. Thank you for this. I was there at the first game of the wild card series versus Toronto. Good memories! The building rumbled with each of Lewis’ homers. Reminded me of the Metrodome

Game 1 rivaled game 163 for me. I got so lucky to be able to attend both, but breaking the curse was something else.

@@3-0Greenlight I'm so happy that the twins finally snap the 18-game Postseason losing streak since October 5, 2004, & won the first postseason series since 2002 ALDS! Thank you for sharing!

As someone who was born in 2005 who never had a chance to see the Twins win in the playoffs it was an amazing experience being at those two wildcard games! The stadium was absolutely electric!⚡️ I can’t wait to see them do it again this year. 🤞🤞Also great video

Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it! That’s nice you got to see your team finally win a playoff game, and with a bunch of young quality bats and the fact that the rest of the division is rather weak. I think they have a great chance to win the division again!

Great job of storytelling. You summarized last year's Twins' success succinctly and accurately. My only constructive comment would be to work on your audio editing. That bleep sound at 7:45 is *insanely* loud compared to the rest of your audio....not just startling, but potentially threatening to ears and speaker systems.

Thanks for the upload. This was deserved considering how no one expected them to even win a playoff Serie due to the long streaks losing.

As a life long twins fan I will always remember dumping my food jumping off the couch for Lewis's seconds homer. Even if God forbid he becomes another Buxton, he will always be a Minnesota legend.

Interestingly that wasn’t the only drought they broke last year. They also won a season series against the Yankees for the first time in 25 years. That’s when I knew last year’s team was finally going to break the playoff curse.
