I actually enjoyed The Marvels & felt it was a better film than Eternals, Thor 4, & Ant-Man 3 since the story while not long was fine, it had decent jokes, multiple good fight scenes, & the 3 actresses did a good job together.

I’m glad they also addressed how they introduced too many concepts in so little time. The multiverse should not have been introduced so soon People were just getting used to time travel. Then you have timelines, then Eternals, 10 rings mythology, the celestials, quantum realm… AND the multiverse..??? The average non-comic book viewer has lost interest. It’s a hodgepodge.

You’re right about the lack of story direction. From the first Iron Man movie to Endgame there was a consistent story told through each Hero’s movies to get to the final boss battle between them and Thanos. Anything else after was basically Filler with little build up to anything major

0:57 YES! That is one of the reasons I don't understand Kamala's character in the MCU. How is she a big fan of Captain Marvel when Carol barely appears on Earth? It would be nice that we see Captain Marvel doing superhero work during the 5 year Blip but no... the info we got is that she has been off-world and helping people on other planets.

The fact Carol hasn't been around actually helps her status a lot. She's a mystery so people can project on her a lot as Kamala does. The movie kind of addresses the hero worship and the fact Kamala doesn't really know her. Similarly Kate didn't really know Clint, she just saw him being heroic once in a time of crisis and thought it was inspiring. Also the movie does indicate that she's spent some time on Earth during the 5 year blip as she was with Maria before her death and if I'm not mistaken Endgame also suggested she was spending some time on Earth as well.

@@jameswhite8345 I watched it. It doesn't explain. It's just baked into the character that she's a fangirl of Captain Marvel. It's fine though. Everyone's a fan of some random thing, right? Personally, I like Star Trek:). Kamala likes Captain Marvel, but doesn't even know who Captain Kirk is.

That scene from The Marvels with Beast is so accurate to how I felt as an X-Men fan!

Okay now we need a proper villain costume design for The Annihilator because I want to see her in more Villain Pub episodes! Such potential.

Her power is technically infinite if we go by her prior appearances, which includes catching up with a ftl ship in Captain Marvel. Shes going faster than something going even faster than light. But moving like a mile over empty space takes her too long. Or just turning the villain into a blood cloud. Or just moving anything she needs.

@@theinsurance2450 To be fair... 1. A sequel was announced with the director returning, and Shang-Chi will be in What If and Marvel zombies. Besides, his movie was tied with She-Hulk. 2. Eternals was briefly referenced in She-Hulk as well. 3. True. Although I don't think, like Werewolf by Night, it HAS to be tied with everything else. I actually like that you can watch it without doing homework before. 4. A show was announced as well. Although where was he in MoM... 5. We don't talk about this one.

I'm genuinely excited for a Young Avengers movie/show, they just need to pick a direction and stick with it. I also hope that, if they do it, Clint serves as the mentor, mirroring what he does in the comics for them somewhat and also because he probably can't do as much as he used to what with the snowplow incident.

America Chavez in Dr. Strange 2. 5. The kid in Iron Man 3 is most likely Ironlad. 6. The old super soldiers son in Falcon and Winter Soldier is probably gonna be Patriot. 7. Ms. Marvel, wasn't in og young avengers but was in the Champions, the modern incarnation of them. 8. I thought they would set up Hulkling in Secret Wars, disappointed they didn't. They could still use him or they could use Skarr instead

For me, the most enjoyable parts were the dance and singing with Prince Yan (a waste of Park Seo Joon acting skills, by the way) and the "cats" scene that made all of the theater burst in laugh. The rest was just so- so. And the cameo of Beast was exactly what you mention here, just to keep the fans engaged. Loved the little fans 😄and also Carol arriving to the Villian's Bar 🤣.

Something I found really funny was the fact that every time the _trained soliders_ saw Captain Marvel they yelled "annihilator!" It is like how in Wolfenstein 3D the SS would yell "Schutzstaffel!" every time they saw BJ.

00:58 Glad someone acknowledged how weird it is that people even know who Carol Danvers is. Seriously she was on Earth for a minute in the 90s, another day after Thanos attacked and a couple more days when Thanos was defeated. She shouldn’t be anywhere near as famous as she is.

I'm more just annoyed how glossed over pretty much *everything* relating to The Blip got, even if some if it was due to the Pandemic, in the MCU even as someone who stopped at the _Spider-Man: Far From Home_ movie. Love how Thanos expects Bowser to do his Security Guard job, but forgot the King of the Koopas basically got promoted lol

I agree, Marvel has knotted themselves into a twist. Will be interesting to see how they work it out (if they do).

I hope this lasts forever and if it does end, someone would continue the legacy. I know it probably won't be as good as these guys but at least we would know someone's out there trying to live up to it all.

Loki, Mobius (or OB), and Voldemort are chased by variants of Kang, who has now overtaken the villain pub and is making everyone pay for their drink taxes. But Loki and Voldy haven’t don’t that in over a decade (hey happy villain pub anniversary) so many variants of Kang chase them from the void to Barbie land, to Lego Harry Potter in 99 seconds world

That villain pub was best! I really like how it's flexible where characters end up. I wonder if in Loki, Loki will start in villain pub but emd up in superhero cafe or something similar. Anyway great work as always, hope Loki will be done there better that in Honest Trailer.

Look, it's a fun two to three hours if you can shut off your brain for it. But yeah, they're trying too hard to recapture the magic of the first Avengers movie finally collecting the heroes from each movie. Tell good stories first. Worry about the team-ups later. *ALSO,* adding time travel and a multiverse completely neuters the tension. Comic books in general have this problem.

@@jodinsan The MCU as a whole is so inconsistent and all over the place to where you have no choice but to shut off your brain in order to enjoy most of the stuff being put out now. If you want to turn off your brain, that's perfectly fine, you just have to understand that these inconsistencies are not just nitpicks that can be handwaved away with as these inconsistencies effect the plots of these movies and shows and in turn, the "big picture".

Honestly, there were a bunch of interesting ideas that popped up in this film that were undeveloped and didn't work, but if they had chosen just one or two and really developed it, they could have had a lot more fun

"That's a good little fan." Perfectly sums up the post-credit baiting going on the last few movies. I love Marvel & especially since my intro was XMen & Spiderman. But damn. . . .

Your end credit there was so on the nose, no finger can pick that truth out. Bravo!

Yeah, having other characters teaming up with Captain Marvel is kind of like when Superman and Batman team up. She can take out entire space armadas, reignite a sun, and topple an empire which covered "21% of the Milky Way Galaxy."
