back in the old days everyone was impeccably dressed. as late as the 1960s my mother would make me get all dressed up just to go out to buy a loaf of bread. my father would wear a suit just to go out to buy a newspapaer, thats how people were in the old days. not like present day people look so scruffy even going to church and work.

As I'm sure as some/Many of you probably know, Former Caporegime Michael Franzese goes into detail of what it's like to actually be a Mob Associate, Unpaid Intern is a good way to sum it up. He'd work a full day at his civilian job, then drive into the city waiting at the Social Club all night to be given gopher tasks, or not. You stay until you are dismissed. Then he'd have to get up early and do it all again. You work your butt off.

Great video, I had an uncle who still says, remeber when I used to work for the family, he was a body gaurd for Dean Martins daughter Deanna, he still has the pictures of the two of them, that says Ed, thank you for always being there for me, love Deanna, he cherishes those pictures to this day. He was about 280 lbs and hand hands so big, his fingers were like sausages, he was a bad man back in the day, I was only16 yrs old then, i`m 60 now, he retired and travels in a huge motor home now, hes still scary.

There's records of a national Mafia council going back to the late 1890s. Since New Orleans had the oldest form of Cosa Nostra in the United States, initially, they led this Council. By the mid to late 1910s, there were approximately 27-28 families from throughout the country that belonged to this Council. By the time Luciano took out Maranzano, New Orleans was considered grandfathered. They weren't subject to the rules other families were subject too. The structure of Cosa Nostra was already in place. The Commission origin is a romanticized origin story.

They were murdering criminals but had a framework of rules with consequences. The criminals today pretend to be politicians, corporate execs, bankers and so on. Surprisingly they are way worse with one reason being little to no rules with consequences.

Cosa Nostra evolved from the street corners. It’s more beneficial for them to stay out of view and keep things underground. The street gangs are all fractured and there’s no unifying factor. The Mafia started moving out to the suburbs in the late 1980’s. The cities are crazy and they didn’t want to raise their families there.

Nonsense in the early days of the Mafia they would shoot each other in the street

They don't have what they had before. 1) Surveillance is much more intricate and easier for the authorities. Listening devices, wire taps, filming. 2) Rico laws it make much more easier for prosecution with extensive prison sentences. 3) Lengthy prison sentences act as incentive for someone to come clean to avoid going to prison. There was a kid in the USAF who was involved in a drug ring. He would make drug runs back and forth to England and Turkey in an AF plane where it was easy to conceal deliveries. He was making lots of money where he could afford vacations to Monte Carlo in 5 star hotels. On one run he was returning from Turkey, and he was snorting cocaine on the plane. He went into a coma and woke up in a military hospital with his room under guard. A Jag attorney told him, "Let's make a deal." It was explained to him that they found all of the drugs and he could be the one who is holding the bag and will have to face the consequences. But there was a light a the end of the tunnel. The lawyer gave him an offer he couldn't refuse. Come clean, tell everything about the organization and he would be given an honorable discharge, a clean record and all benefits. Omerta was out the window and he sung like a canary. He came out clean and 15 of his AF "buddies" went to prison for a "while" in Leavenworth which is no joke. 4) It's becoming more and more known that if you join up with one of these organizations or a gang, your chances for existence are not too good. Rival gangs are a threat. If someone in that makes a mistake, the organization does not hand out bad evaluation reports. 1 in three spend about an average of 20 in prison. Plus it's constant stress. When one of those guys is married, the family home life is a catastrophy. Very few of them want their children to follow in their foot steps.

the word mafia is an amalgamation of ma meaning my and fia meaning daughter. so it should read MA FIA my daughter. those were the words utterd by a mother after her daughter was raped by some soldiers so it should go MA FIA, MA FIA, MA FIA my daughter my daughter my daughter. so the mafia was formed to protect the local people from bullying officials or administrators in honour of the girl that was raped it was set up and used the words MA FIA which over time became one word MAFIA.

I believe it was some French soldiers (dont know the time frame) were stationed in some Italian town and they were taking some young woman away off the street to go 'play' with her and the mother of the daughter started yelling 'my daughter, my daughter' and the town's people jumped in and rescued her. Mia figila is 'my daughter' in Italian. It has been awhile since I read this story so some details are shady but the main point is the mother calling for help for her daughter.

Very commendable effort. The visual portion should relate to the narrative, for example, if the narrative is describing a particular person, a still frame of that person is preferable to images of another person unconnected to the narrative. I recognize that moving images helps to encourage a sense of attention-grabbing for viewers, however unrelated images detract viewers. Again, your videos are interesting, but stay on topic when using images. Thank you and continued success.

These guys are essentially All-Star leadership for the Mafia. These guys are all super old school leaders with excellent track records. They keep everything low key as it should be. I think you’re lost and should talk about topics of things you actually know about, because you’re clueless on this topic.
