I'd say it depends on how much hair they have. I bet some get away with just shaving, some with waxing, or if they have the money & dark coarse hair, laser hair removal is an option. Seungri mentioned once that he goes to a salon to get waxing but idk if he still does it or maybe if he was joking. I saw a pic of EXO luhan and on his thighs he had razor marks. I'm not sure if he said it or the waxing ladys at the salon, but topp dogg hansol used to shave. Some svt members use an electric razor on their face One thing about waxing is you have to let the hair grow out so much it's completely visible. So that may not be an option for girls...

“Since I am so close with girl idols, they openly talk about their periods and how uncomfortable it is as an idol. Some of them tell me they wanted to die and I understand to a certain extent. An idol’s schedule is really tiring and periods can tire a girl but as an idol you have to keep going. Also, there are mood issues that come with periods but as an idol, you must act happy and smile. That is really hard for girl idols. Periods are hard on non-celebrity girls too and some of them even get depression over this.” - Heechul First time i heard any kpop idol talk about periods so i think it was very awesome of him! I already love his open-minded heart and mind, and respected him more after he talked to Pristin about them! They couldn't even say periods because of how conservative South Korea is.

When it comes to the shorts and skirts idols wear, it’s hard to believe their wearing pads with those especially with the moves they sometimes have to do, it must be the ultra thin ones that won’t show through the clothes cause pad imprints will show through the clothes depending on how tight they are, I thought idols at least wore tampons or menstrual cups I personally would prefer to throw it off during comebacks with pills to not have to deal with it and then go off during hiatus and let the body naturally do it’s thing cause periods are annoying and messy to deal with while trying to deal with the stressful life as an idol

being a woman in a world constructed by men, and for men's pleasure really hurts. even watching this hurts. being perfect is unattainable goal, because even beauty standards are constructed by men, after other men, when you know that you are still a girl, with - unbelievable - period! goodness, sometimes I think we are not differenct sexes, it feels like we are different species

So, pretty much the answer is "deal with it". Man, that sucks. I'm a guy, but I have sisters, so I've got a fairly good idea of how bad it can get with some women. I guess the bad thing about the music business is, that in general, you can't really have someone sub in, if you aren't feeling well. You'll either have to cancel, or just power through things. Neither is really something any artist wants to do. You'd hope, that the companies would be getting better at dealing with this stuff, and putting the health of their people first. Hearing of people fainting on stage, or getting criticized for "being lazy", when it's likely they could just be feeling a bit ill, it's always disheartening. If I was managing a girl group, I'd hopefully always have backup clothing, just in case. And it's not a bad thing to have a nurse nearby, especially when you consider how prone to injuries dancers are.

Paul the 2 marek Sørensen what would be easier is just tell the person you're on your period and stop feeling like it's something you should be ashamed of or it's something to be shy about. Women CEOs would be good, but you can't just choose the person because she's a woman, you should see their qualifications, how many years they've been working etc. And compare it to the other candidates, it's a very difficult field. I think it's great for men to work with women and vice versa, because it helps them to get out of their comfort zones and be able to tell something as simple as "I'm on my period", because every grown person knows what that is and will understand, of course it might feel awkward and uncomfortable at first, but a few minutes or seconds of awkwardness isn't a tragedy. People gotta learn to come out of their comfort zones, especially if it's something beneficial. Being uncomfortable to tell your male boss you're on your period and then having a female boss instead of the your og boss isn't going to help, because you'll still be uncomfortable telling males that you're on your period when you need to.

@@UnimpressedReviewer while i agree that different genders need to be able to work together, it isn't just women who are uncomfortable with sharing information about being on their period, usually men are also very uncomfortable with it and don't like it when someone makes them uncomfortable like that; most people treat it as a "tmi" even though it shouldn't have to be. There's also the fear that men underestimate the symptoms that come with a period or how uncomfortable it is, don't realise that it's different for everyone and tell you to suck it up anyway - in the short term you'd just have to suffer through your period but in the long term you'd be classified as "the complainer"

I see a lot of people in the comments that seem to have some misconceptions about tampons so I just want to clarify some things. 1. First tampons seem really scary at first but if you want to try them I would suggest you try on one of the moderate or light days of your period. I know different countries vary on what type of tampons are readily available, but in the U.S. at least there is a size called light which is the smallest. Its the least intimidating one to start with. If that is not available then the next size up which is regular works too. This is because the larger sizes like super or super plus while not painful when you insert them may expand more than you think which can be shocking when you try to take it out. Take that from a very panicked 16 year old me who made this mistake. It wasn't painful just shocking though. 2. For beginners using tampons with applicators attached whether cardboard or plastic really help make it less scary. Just remember to read the instructions. I know the plastic applicator ones are worse for the environment but they are probably the easiest to start one. 3. When inserting them correctly you should not be able to feel it inside you when you're moving or sitting. I used to make the mistake of not inserting them in far enough so it was a bit uncomfortable when I was sitting but with practice you fix this. 4. It might take you a couple tries to be able to succesfully insert them. I was freaking out like crazy the first time I tried to use one, but once I did it honestly it was almost anti-climatic. As someone who has really heavy periods I have to double up with a pad and tampon to feel secure going about my day so its really helpful if you're doing a lot that day to feel more confident because you have an extra back up from leaks. 5. There is nothing sexual about using tampons or cups. That sounds strange worded that way but I know that some cultures may consider the use of them as a girl losing her virginity. Think of your own definition of what sex or intercourse is for you whatever your sexual orientation is. Inserting a non living object not meant to give you sexual pleasure, but helpful to menstruation probably doesn't fall under that category right? I think of it as similar to seeing a gynecologist. 6. Please please follow the instructions provided when you buy tampons. Tampons are generally safe to use and there are non-toxic or environmentally friendly ones if thats important to you. At least in the U.S. by federal way tampons must come with instructions and a warning about Toxic Shock Syndrome. Read this and use this information. TSS is typically only an issue if you're not using the correct absorbency size for your flow or you have one in for longer than 8 hours. If you use pads its pretty easy to match the absorbency levels by comparing it to what absorbency of pads you typically use. 7. Ultimately whether you choose to use them is up to you and whatever feels comfortable for your body is what you should do. Some things feel really scary when you don't have experience with them and thats okay. Don't worry about what other may think of using them because ultimately thats not important. Its you, your body, and your choice. I use tampons because they really help me feel more secure and less stressed on my period. I also suffer from really bad cramps and when I use tampons on my first 3 days when the cramps are especially bad I actually feel like it helps reduce the pain significantly while I'm using them. I'm not sure how many will bother to read through this comment or skim it, but I hope this helped to relieve some of the misunderstandings or answer some questions people have. Have a nice day and if you're on your period as your reading this, remember to take care of yourself and a little self pampering when you're not feeling your best never hurts

This is the first time I heard that someone was scared of Tampons. I'm confused now, like... is this a thing? That's actually interesting. I used them since I was thirteen and I literally had one pack of pads that used for my first period and then I never used them again, because I found it so uncomfortable xD I think it feels as if you have to wear a diaper. If someone who has that problem reads this: What exactly is it that scares you? Is it just like a cultural thing for some people, or is there more to it?
