How the Jews became WHITE in America

#ancestry #findingyourroots #ancestrydna #dnatest #jews #jewish #familyhistory #genealogy
Are American Jews "White"? Starting with the Virginia Slave codes of 1705 (which specifically mention the Jews) we will explore the complexities of Jewish identity, how Jewish immigrants were perceived in the 20th century and why "eating ham for Uncle Sam" changed everything.

Come join me on a new docu-series that explores identity, racial tensions in the South during the 20th century, and the unique experiences of those who historically called Louisiana home.
My name is Danielle Romero, and all my life, I have romanticized Louisiana.
Growing up in New York, it represented a place where I could step back the sepia-toned life of my great grandmother, Lola Perot, who died before I was born.
Now, it was time to go back to Louisiana--although I had no idea what the truth would be or what questions to ask---who was Lola really? Who were we?

You’re not reading between the line. The Biblical indigenous Jews are the Native Indians and Negroes per Bible and history. Some were considered Muslims /infidels / Moors since the days of Mohammad or Christians by being forcibly converted to Christianity during the Crusades and Inquisition in Europe before they were expelled lastly out of Europe by the Alhambra Edict in 1492. The ones that refused were onsidered “ infidels”. That’s why you see the Virginia slave codes under the👉🏻 “ Negro slaves because they are the ethnic Judeans, the true Jews. Your grandparents knew exactly that they were taken the ethnic Jews of Judea into slavery in the Atlantic Slave Trade in the 1400- 1800s. The converted Khazar Jews by King Bulan were the slave masters of the Negro indigenous Native Black skin Jews and bought the slave ships that carried the Negro Jews to the Americas. Look up “ Negroland Kingdom of Judah map” from West Africa. Or look up the Jews / Negroes that were expelled from Spain/ Portugal in 1492 whom in the Christian “Papal Bull” by Pope Nicholas V that called them Negroes AKA Moors AKA infidels and sent Columbus to the “ New World “ which is America and also to go get them in Africa. The Black slave codes put “Jews” in there because the Jews there is talking about the Native Indians and Negroes Which share the same complexion and phenotype and both are Black and were slaves.

My mother, who is Jewish, used to pass a sign at a pool (in the 1960s) that said “No Jews, no dogs). My mother and her brothers had a hard time assimilating because they were “dark skin Jews” and experienced occasional discrimination. My mother had me with a black man, so I’m a Jew of color. I’ve never felt welcome at majority white synagogues. White Jews talk a big game about their solidarity with black people, as long as those black people stay outside the building. It was interesting growing up seeing the inner tension of my relatives. They desperately wanted to assimilate (a lot of them got nose jobs) but couldn’t quite.

    @jcortese3300

    7 ай бұрын

@@artsylovelylady There's a very common Catch-22 that takes place when the topic of alliances is discussed. I've experienced it too many times to count. Someone who is what I call "dark white" expresses the slightest solidarity and understanding with African Americans and is told we have no idea what it's like to be on that side of the fence, and the fact that we think we can is a symptom of our blinkered racism. "Check your privilege!" we're told. And if we say that we can't understand what that oppression is like but want to express a sense of alliance, we're then told that we're stiff-arming them and that that's a symptom of racism and that we should once again "check our privilege." Believe me when I say there is no acceptable way to express this. We're either laying claim to a lived experience we can't possibly understand because we are ignorantly racist, or we are stiff-arming a lived experience that we do have something in common with because we are actively racist. There is absolutely no way for ethnic "dark whites" to square that circle. We've tried. The responses are as predictable as the sunrise. Put plainly, the goalposts are moved every single time -- often in mid-conversation or even mid-sentence -- in just the right way to prevent everyone from forming a truly powerful alliance. African Americans are understandably skeptical, and "woke" white allies feel threatened that someone else they see as white is trying to wrestle the tiara of "wokest white ally in the room" away from them. For its part, the right does nothing to interrupt this because instead, their response is to go up to the working class "dark whites" and say, "See? They don't care about you, do they?" Of course, the right doesn't care, either. They've gotten filthy rich hollowing out the manufacturing sectors and the economic possibilities of the working classes. They don't want a powerful alliance, either. Sorry for the tl;dr but there isn't really a way to shorten this. It's just impossibly depressing.

The Nazis never could understand how Jews how Jews are considered white in the United States. But whiteness in the United States is shifting sand. The 2010 census declared all north Africans to be white, which is utterly ridiculous. A lot of people from India also have honorary whiteness when they are in the United States despite many of them being very dark skinned. According to the one drop rule in the United States, if you have a one drop of African blood, you are black. The actress Carol Channing hid her blackness for decades.

Was referring to the ethnic Native Indians and Black Jews who were the slaves in America. You were just never taught that they , the slaves are the real bloodline descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob : the Northern and Southern Kingdom of Israel . Your grandparents knew that but too bad you weren’t taught that . Do the history in Ancient books before the 20th century.

Or you don't believe in the words of the bible? Human beings, white or black, can never be trusted. Especially if there are antecedents. Some people are lieing. A grave lie that's bringing death to innocent people. Who also are victims of their ancestors being part of a conspiracy. 2 Esdras 7:26 GNB 26“The time is coming when these signs will take place. The invisible city will appear, and the land that is now hidden will be seen. 2 Esdras 7:26 KJV “Behold, the time shall come, that these tokens which I have told thee shall come to pass, and the bride shall appear, and she coming forth shall be seen, that now is withdrawn from the earth.”

Your videos are so interesting. Thank you.The divide and rule tactic of the British has much to answer for. In the Wikipedia entry for The Balfour Declaration is a copy of "Memorandum to Protestant Monarchs of Europe for the restoration of the Jews to Palestine, Colonial Times 1841" which gives an insight into how deep and wide this network of supremacists extended. I was born and raised in the hills of the North of Ireland, a very homogenous society until recently, due to no one wishing to go there (pre the Peace Agreements). While the outside world was moving on, much of this part of the world festered in its old ways. Divisions that had been exploited for centuries made murderers of people who were blood related in many cases. Each side claimed to be able to distinguish the other by certain "features" as much as religious observances, yet the first thing anyone would want to know about a stranger was which church they went to on a Sunday. There is an old and outdated joke I remember from my youth about a Jewish guy going to a bar in Belfast while there on business. He gets talking to some locals who, after a short period of beating about the bush, ask him whether he is Catholic or Protestant. He tells them that he is a Jew. There is another brief and pensive pause, with much furrowing of brows before he is then asked. "Yes, but are you a Catholic or Protestant Jew?"

I am of Finnish ancestry, being a first generation American Finn. I found it so strange that in the early years of America, only White Europeans and Black Africans were allowed to immigrate to America. Those of Asian ancestry were not allowed to immigrate. Finns were considered Asian and as such no Finns were allowed to immigrate to America. This was changed in the 1930's when all of a sudden the American government considered Finns white enough to immigrate to a country where everyone is supposed to be considered equal, regardless of skin color, ethnicity or religious preference. After centuries of being part of Sweden and the another 2 centuries of being part of Russia, Finns are only 7% Asian from the 70 to 80% of a few centuries prior and white enough to be considered "white" Europeans by the American government.

Plenty of Finns emigrated to the US some time between around 1880 and 1920. They were granted the "white" status in 1908. The "70 to 80 percent Asian a few centuries prior" is not correct. The Finnish genes have not changed during the part thousand years. The "Asianess" was mostly about the language.

She immediately broke off the friendship, and ignored me like I was poison or something. I remember trying hard to find out what I did wrong, but it took me a couple of weeks to realize that Jews had s secret struggle of being persecuted and knew a lot more about southern race relations than the average black child way back then in the 70's and 80's!! Sad to say but the races that should be the closest in racial persecution is still the furthest apart!! And we all know who the mastermind of that feat is?!!

The Europeans have always had a ‘Jewish Problem’ throughout their history. They tried various types of isolation and extermination including ghetto establishments, pogroms, and the holocaust. Muslims never had. Jews lived freely in Palestine, Istanbul, Baghdad, Cairo, Morocco and other places for centuries. They actually flourished in Muslim Spain. Then in the late 19th centuries ideas like religious separation, liberal assimilation, socialism, communism, and others emerged. Zionism was their latest version. The same religious fanatics that persecuted the Jews throughout history began supporting Zionism. They don’t want the Jews to live amongst them. Zionists led by Theodore Hertzel held their First Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland in 1897 and later British foreign secretary Balfoure made his infamous declaration in 1917, both with the same objective of solving this ‘Jewish Problem. That is how this colonial, imperial and now apartheid enterprise began.

Let me start off with this disclaimer. I do not hate Jews, I am an intelligent Black man whose passion is World history, American history and especially Black history. I do not condone the hatred of an individual or group because of their skin, religion or sexual connatation. With that being said, let's address the elephant in the room. Just as with the Italians, Jews wanted so desperately to be "White" so much so many changed their birth names to blend in(those whose features allowed them too). Many married White women/men to further this assimilation. They worked hard with the assistance from the government to improve apon their social economic condition. Fast forward to today and you have a thriving group of people that have advanced themselves in all facets of economic mainstream except political(White America has stymied the progression to a degree of any ascension in this arena). Jews have taken a "behind the scenes" approach to political power, further proving that you may have been accepted, but you still are a Jew. As if by saying this, it implies some sort of negative connatation in itself. With great power comes great responsibility. Sometimes society doesn't want to speak on this truth. Now that this group have "arrived", some not all have made it a point that they can not be critiqued. KZread is a perfect example of this. No group is infallible so to exert power to silence others is deplorable. To discriminate against Blacks from a economic standpoint is historically hypocritical. To do onto others as they have done on to you, in a spiteful vengeful manner is not adhering to religious text. History backs what I'm saying. The Hispanic community is now identifying themselves as White to garner social and economical advantages so as to be simply accepted by the majority. I say onto all of you, be careful with who you lay with, you just might not be able to stand up again.

Ancient Latin. The word Negro was used as an adjective, not to describe someone Black. The romance languages have similar variations of Negro, like Negre in French or Nero in Italian. In that regards, it developed a racial connotation during slavery. But, even before Shakespearean times Moors and other Black people lived in Europe and were identified by their dark skin.

Well, back in the 60's a song came out that was entitled "I black, and I'm Proud" Jews seem to be comfortable passing for white, you really can't tell most times if they are Jewish, and I know it's probably safer to try and pass, I used to play golf with Mr. Levitan, and he got a little upset with me because I told him he was not white and was just passing, as a Black man we really frown on this in our culture, after 400 years they can't do anything to us what they haven't done already, all I'm saying be a Jew and be proud of your heritage, Black people were brainwashed to think being Black is the worst human you can be, they stripped us of our culture, language, and heritage, I say go to your Synagogues, celebrate your culture be proud to be a Jew, not undercover, but for everybody to see, screw the white supremacist and the KKK, DON'T BOW DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL... Shalom.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the first appearance in print of the adjective white in reference to “a white man, a person of a race distinguished by a light complexion” was in 1671. Colonial charters and other official documents written in the 1600s and early 1700s rarely refer to European colonists as white.

Does "white" just mean possessing a certain privileged status in society, regardless of actual skin color????? And it just happens that people adopted the word "white" to decsribe such a group due to historical reasons coming from an perspective of American/US history of racial segregation, but the term evolved from denoting skin color????

The Jews were originally from Iraq, I think. They then settled in the Levant. Most of their dna comes from the Middle East and they are related to other Middle Eastern people who are generally olive skinned with dark hair and eyes and sometimes, light hair and/or pale eyes and many Ashkenazi Jews have red hair. In the Middle Ages in Germany, if you had red hair you were suspected of being Jewish. I liked your video but some of the comments are absolutely ridiculous. I am a British/Swiss person who has many different ancestors including Indigenous Siberian (mitochondrial dna D4 passed down the maternal line) I am related to Chinese, Korean, Japanese etc and also some native American groups like the Navajo. My stance is that at this stage in American history, anti-Semitism from white supremacists is often tied to conspiracy theories of a world order, of an elite pulling the strings behind the scenes, of the perpetrators of the "woke" left ideology, and more. I don't think the hatred is that of a racial hatred but of something else that's hard to pinpoint and identify. I'm quarter Jewish (quarter Italian, quarter Ukrainian, and quarter Irish), and no parts of my identity ever led to me being otherized, unless you count jokes regarding my whiteness (I grew up in Brooklyn so non-politically correct jokes were common lol). For Americans who are of full or partial Jewish ethnicity, the vast majority are white passing and benefit from such. As do the American descendants of Italian immigrants and Slavic immigrants. Being a "mix" and having no one ethnic box that I fit it, my identity in America is de facto white. The label bears no cultural significance in my life or any historic accuracy but it's what I've accepted as a young man at this stage in American society and identity politics. Being that "white" is a social construct, I believe that being perceived as such means more to being "white" than your cultural or ethnic background as this is what determines how you move and interact with the world around you.

They don't care about the black members. These are all 60-80 yr old grandparents and pensioners who you’d think had better sense. They call Kings Plaza the mall of the apes. Any white person that calls them out on their behavior is called a “libtard” and “woke”. They've definitely forgotten where they come from. Truth is, people have learned that crapping on certain people like blacks will help give them an entryway into the “white” club. SMH

@2:37 I always find it problematic and covertly racist when ppl assign characteristics like being a hard worker, ambitious and educated to certain groups of ppl. It is used as a way to say this group is good and this group is bad. And I can tell you I have known a lot of Jewish ppl, and they don't all fit those 3 descriptions. My uncle, who is an Ashkenazi/Eastern European Jew, used to have financial issues and would ask my father, who is Black, for money. These same characteristics are also assigned to Asian ppl, though I can say I have also seen Asian ppl who don't fit this description either.
