Jim Carry was the perfect choice to play the Grinch. No one could have done it the way he did. The best Christmas movie ever.

I’m still convinced that the lines, “And the cheque!” and “I want golf clubs, I want diamonds, I want a pony so I can ride it twice, get bored and then sell it to make glue!” were improvised by Jim Carrey. I don’t know, it just seems like something he’d come up with.

I love the way Jim Carrey sang the iconic song "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" while adding his own comedic elements to it like the hilarious sound effects. And his freak out when the sleigh takes off. "We're going to die!! We're going to die!! I'm going to throw up, and then I'm going to die!! Mommy, tell it to stop!!"also I really love how the actress who played Cindy Lou, Taylor Momsen went on to be the front woman and lead singer of a band called The Pretty Reckless. also, I can sympathize with the Grinch, having been a victim of bullying growing up. I know the feeling of not liking people because of it.

Lol I get the giggles whenever I see the kinky party the older ladies were throwing.

Jim Carrey was so uncomfortable wearing his costume that Ron Howard also did the same thing so he was just as miserable. When Jim Carrey was tired and had to stop, Ron Howard let everyone go home

Don’t feel bad, I too am attracted to the grinch. How he have so much swagger?!

I didn't realize until later on that Terri White was a background character in this as a random shopper (you really have to keep an eye out). This is a woman with an impressive Broadway résumé to her name! Dreamgirls, Cats, Barnum, The Life (she won a Tony for that), Chicago, The Wiz, Funny Girl, and she got such a little part in this movie. Maybe she's just a humble person?

Here's some interesting facts: Before Jim Carrey, Jack Nicholson & Eddie Murphy were both considered for the role of The Grinch. When Grinch is looking at the camera breaking the 4th wall and doing his "kids these days" line, it was improvised by Carrey, but then again he's well known for doing improv on set ;) When Grinch is "directing" Max the dog, it's Carrey doing the impersonation of this movie's director, Ron Howard. It's not only in kids movies where the mayor is a douchebag, even horror movies such as Jaws.

@@darciesnothere You should watch it ;) =) There are two things about Ron Howard the director that's pretty well known - He always wears a cap and he always put his brother, Clint, in a role in his movies (here he plays the mayor's lackey). Howard started as a child actor, in his younger days he was known for a tv-show called Happy Days and movies such as American Graffiti. When he got older, he became a director and made other movies such as Willow, Apollo 13, Da VInci Code-movies and the Han Solo-spin off movie Solo.

Love your channel! So, this is a little out of the box, but if you like dark comedies and Christmas movies, you should watch The Ref. It's an old movie - I think early 90s, but if you can get past the fact that Kevin Spacey is in it, I think you might have a good time. It's about a dysfunctional family getting together for Christmas, but they're taken hostage by a burglar who's trying to evade the cops. It has some of the best lines in any movie I've seen. It's hilarious...and messed up...but hilarious, so.

🥺🥺 not you over here giving me two of my nicest comments i've seen today - thank you!! i haven't heard of that movie i will write it down! i definitely want to watch some out of the box xmas movies this year. Home Alone is likely and maybe Elf but then I wanna do 2 others that aren't super popular so this could be one!

I buy a gift for my cousins because both of them are great. Same for my aunt, my two uncles and my parents. So yeah, I do have to, I mean, they don't have to buy me gifts but they do, so the least I can do is do the same.

You know Max the dog was unwanted gift for christmas the grinch found him in dump or trash and max is played by female dog name kelly she pass away on 2009, is my favorite movie, people were scared of jim carrey grinch as kid

We know 2 snowflakes are alike do to the particles they start out as can very in shape and size, he Hight they form at, how fast or slow they grow, the speed they fall, humidity, temperature, path they take, as well as multiple other variables that take place during it's path from creation to ground.

It's actually a misconception that all snowflakes are unique. Without bothering you with the math, they're all derived from all extended shapes based on the hexagon (six sided shape) and the range of shapes depends on the temperature, humidity and air pressure, but point long story short, there are only a few dozen possible shapes. Same goes for fingerprints. They're not as unique as we like to think. More so than snowflakes, but it's not impossible for someone to have a similar fingerprint as you and DEFINITELY not impossible for someone to have a similar partial.

16:40 My problem with the Whos in this movie is that they all just very soulless and greedy and only care about material stuff (in the book and the original TV special with Boris Karloff, the whos are supposed to be the complete opposite of the grinch, they’re nice, joyful, good hearted, and already know the true meaning of Christmas) I get it that is the point in the movie of them being soulless I get it, but that kind of goes against the point of the book itself. The grinch shouldn't have to be the one who spells the message out for them, *he's the one who's supposed to learn the lesson.* The movie got it so backwards and you honestly side with the grinch in that scene after everything you saw in this film tell me you don't understand why he thinks christmas is so stupid, he's absolutely right.

The Grinch being "Bullied" is not the ORIGINAL STORY as written by the original author, Dr Seuss! My issue with this is that they leave out the initial description about the Grinch that was poetry that shouldn't have been censored. This change in the story implies the citizens of Whoville deserve his wrath. But that's not Dr Seuss' version! Don't blame the gentle citizens of Whoville because this version forgets that maybe "....his heart was two sizes too small"!

I've seen so many people watch films but then haven't checked anything. because they are just looking at their smartphones or chatting. No matter if woman or man!
