Amen and thank you for this message,I believe in Jesus Christ, but, Not sure who will read this but, I’m stuck in a hard place and need help. Grew up believing you have to , “speak in tongues” to have the Holy Ghost. Then to come to hear things like “you only have to believe in God’s grace and the fact that he died on the cross for our sins”. Both are very conflicting and both have scripture. I’m so confused.

Speaking in tongues is a SIGN of having THE HOLY GHOST....it's not that you speak in tongues then have HIM.

You must believe in JESUS CHRIST...HIS death on the cross for the salvation of men and believe in THE HOLY SPIRIT. Ask THE HOLY SPIRIT to fill you up because your body is HIS TEMPLE and if you desire to speak in tongues, ask HIM. HE will teach you all things

William Miller was a former baptist who did theological studies on end time prophesy. By reading the Book of Daniel Chapter 10 He interpreted that after 1260 days a cleaning of the temple will commenced. Jesus will returm and restore a heavenly sanctuary on Earth by 1843. Miller started a cult called The Adventist. He urged his flock to worship Jesus on the seventh day Sabbath until his return. By 1843 The Adventists waited to Christ second coming. But didn't came. Miller reinterpretated the Bible and says that Jesus will return in 1844. That year came and Jesus didn't come. His Parishioners were upset that they left Miller's Cult. Later a Woman Baptist member named Ellen G. White received a holy message from the Jesus that the temple had be cleaned and the sixth seal has been opened. Jesus told White that the heavenly sanctuary on Earth must be established, that His people must remember the seventh day Sabbath and rest on His day. White took Jesus' message to lost and religious folks and by the 1860's She started the Seventh Day Adventist Church to get Christian folks to be ready for the end times.
