If you hate an actor doing a negative role, their job as a successful actor has been met. Because people hate the character to the point they try to portray it towards the actor. She did great.

It's so immature of the watchers to hate an actor just because of her role, people need to grow up. Anyways kudos to her great acting skills.

@@VergilEdits It is fairly common now, and has been for quite some time, to refer to both men and women as actors. I am certainly not one of those people who get offended by the use of the word actress, and I use it often myself, but busybodies who ‘correct’ people for referring to woman as an actor are just insufferable. Especially ones who are too lazy or ignorant to use capitalization and punctuation.

To be honest i feel bad for her she doesn't deserve the hate for just playing a character i get that people don't likes the character i dont but that's telling how good of an actor she is 😔

Both actresses did a great job...because of them, the character they prtrayed is one of the most iconic antagonist in TV history.

It’s tragic what Shin Ye Eun went as far with her mental health. However what she went through despite the criticism she received for her performances in the glory was uneasy. Shin is a talented actress and revealing what she went through shows the risk she took proving she can take risks. She is the brightest actress of our generation that can do a positive and negative role, and we have more to see from her in the future.

For her to elicit such strong reactions to this role speaks volumes about her acting ability. I loved her in He is Psychometric and Yumi's Cells 2. I think she's a great talent ❤

Ye eun did a great job on the glory

This makes me think of the actor the played Prince Geoffry in Game of Throne and one that played Malfoy in Harry Potter. They played their parts so well that people forgot they were actors playing fictional characters. They sent so much vitriol to them in real life. It's sad that some people really can't tell the difference between fiction and reality.

Hope she gets an interesting and challenging role in a great drama. She was very convincing and had great charisma.

Very similar, but not the same. Drama couple are statistically (at least slightly) more likely to become couples in real life than other random coworkers.

what about Revenge of Others I watched this right after the glory and it was really good. Who said things weren't going well in her career?

Exactly. She even won the blue dragon awards which is one of theost prestigious awards in South Korea.

It's ridiculous to hate actors because of the character s they play... If there aren't villains in the dramas they would be very boring. And that's the thing... The more you hate the villain the better job is doing the actor...

She was so evil and good😂😂. But the hate for her as an actor is not cool at all.

I would honestly feel the same way as her because everyone knows how disturbing the glory is even the characters from the glory but at the same time it's acting, people should hate the characters nots the actors.

Shin ye-eun was my favourite from the first time i watched the web drama a-teen.She played the character do hana and i could relate to her so much . I even rewatch it when i feel down .She played the character so well.In glory she slayed .She is such a hardworking girl .I cant believe she is going through this .She is really a sweet girl and also acts well.Revenge of others slso i watched for her .I hope dhe gets good projects

Yup, if people are hating on her for her character, that means she's a very good actress. Unfortunately, some people can't distinguish between a character being portrayed and the actor/actresses real character.

Yet again ‘netizens’ (apparently Korean for busybodies and presumptuous morons) prove how absolutely ridiculous they can be. With her role in The zGlory, Shin Ye Eun proved both her acting chops and her versatility. I have previously seen her in a couple of other roles were the best adjective I can come up with to describe her beautiful face is ‘warm.’ She can exude warmth and charm, yet in The Glory managed to manifest a psychopathic and truly cruel bully. Her incredible acting was of course enhanced by the numerous other great performances by fellow cast members, as well as by the equally great script, directing, soundtrack, and art design. I certainly hope she continues acting for a very long time, and gets some meaty roles in the future, and that she manages to find some kind of mental balance, where she doesn’t let a role, or people’s responses to it get to her too much. She has the skill, range, and beauty to be a major star, if only she manages to snag the right roles, in the right productions. As I alluded to, I enjoyed her in a couple of other shows, but her mesmerizing performance in The Glory reached a whole other level, and I hope she can match it in the future.

Its curious how my fave Lim Jiyeon got praise even though she portayed the role so well that she was awful, yet Shin Yeeun who did as well as her and brought out the same vibe Lim Jiyeon instead of being praised gets hate. She was incredible and if you had watched Revenge of Others, you would have known that she is a very veratile actress. Learn to respect the effort and Park Yeonjin was portrayed by two very talented actresses!!!

I think the reason why Yeeun got more hate was because of her curling iron scenes. Jiyeon didn’t really do that many disturbing scenes in the drama, but Yeeun had to film awful scenes so I guess that’s why people made weird connections between her and her character😕

Her evil acting is too good, even better than Lim Ji Yeon. But I hope she stops taking evil roles, she's too pretty to be a villain

Can only happen in South-Korea. Fans all over the show- and music-biz loose their sight for reality. I have seen nowhere else in the world such a hater movement as in South Korea.

I am a KOREAN and I can surely say NOBODY hates this actress. Literally nobody. I have never been aware of this kind of ocean of BS contents about Korea that exists!!!!! Such a shock and sad. This actress has gained fame and popularity from drama "eighteen" (as far as I know) and never got hated since then.. she didnt do anything wrong or whatsoever controversial. And I saw Yoo ah in's video below as well. He did ketamin,cocaine, zolpidem and etc. He also coerced a youtuber-hair dresser into smoking weed as well. Of course it does not mean that he deserves death execution or something, but excuse me?? Do non koreans really hope Korea to open the gate wide to cocaine and other stuffs? NO. Koreans do not want drug to get into the country at all. No exception to weed as well. Our country already has a lot of social problems to deal with already. Starting from weed... all of Koreans know that it will be uncontrollable mayhem in a short time if we make this kind of drug legal. Why do non Koreans want Korea to what... freely drug-using society?? It is illegal, in a society, people who commit illegal crime will get punished. We dont want to add drug problem to our society.
