I don't blame Lamptey for his downfall. He was abused as a kid and taken advantage of by agents as an adult. Tragic story.

He must have done something wrong whiles growing up that gave him all those bad lucks. I've realized that in life, we need to do things that will give us good luck and those good lucks will help us in the journey of life.

@@gamej7946 This is blatantly false. Many people of the lower class were kind to others throughout their whole life, and they barely get anything back. Sometimes, for them, it is enough but that’s tough to live with. Bigger fishes will always swallow smaller ones.

@@heijimikata7181 When you are kind and don't get the blessings, it passes on to your children. I've seen a friend with an envious job, well paid and comfortable. He's a miser and wouldn't give anything to friends. Her mum was good to strangers and others. However, this guy is closer to the mum than any of his siblings. He's been helping the mum from childhood and at almost 50yrs, still taking care of his bedridden mum.

I concur. But to me, this channel is the Ronaldo to Raymar’s Messi(Raymar-Football) both are amazing. Carrying their own unique style of narrating but shares the same goal. You can say same same but different. I love them both.

@@Blueclues16imo raymar is intensively boring , not just how he says things but also the organization of the video. What were supposed to be videos that educated you on football prodigies became excessive self-opinionated rambling
That ending was the best. This guy deserves to be happy. Glad he saw it through.

That's Real Story Of Nii Odartey Lamptey. I'm happy you do this important video of Ghana Black Star Hero. Massive Footballer and I like how he plays his football with Technique, The Story is vey sad For Sure 😢
As a Ghanaian I love and hate this video at the same time because of what his wife did to him. I never got to watch him but mom used to tell me that odartey was world class even better than abedi Pele( GHANAIAN PELE)🇬🇭🖤

I looked into that and it was true. That woman was wicked messed up. He had children that passed away(2) with her. Then as you very well know, she cheated on him and birthed 3 girls from another man or men. He knew something was not right and his girls were not his own and did a dna test on them and found out they weren't his. He divorced her and she sued for his apartment and other things and the judge denied her which was awesome, he would've lost here in the US I think. I know his alleged daughters hated their mother for that. So check out his ex wife's defense. She lied and said he couldn't have kids after their children's death and he asked or they agreed she could have children by another man/men. Apparently he could have kids. After he divorced her he remarried and had kids.

This story was unknown to me, thank you to share it with the world.
As a Villa fan I was super excited when we signed Nii. I remember his three goals over two legs against Wigan in the Coca Cola Cup and thought we had a real baller. So sad to see what happened to the guy.
thank you for this video bro Im from ghana and knowing u made a video about him makes us ghanians feel heard

I feel sorry for this man, playing 284 hours till he collapsed. He had to dribble from Belgium to France to Germany during matches without sleep, eating from his backpack and doing his business only while dribbing through the Ardennes forest.
really like these videos about players that are not as known

amazing video. thank you, i feel so bad for this man
Wow. Really touching story, probably inspiring is not the right word. So many talented guys like him get lost. Really sad. And admirable display of mental strength from Lamptey.
As a non football ball fan your vids turn me into one… Pleeeeeease keep up the amazing work‼️‼️‼️
I've never heard of Nii Lamptey tho... great video
Daily dose of football, please do a video about abedi ayew, the Ghanaian and Marseille legend. Thank you

Can you make a video about Benny Mccarthy please
I am glad he had a happy ending after everything he went through. It shows that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel
RIP Steven Keshi 💔. I wished Keshi & the coach had influenced Lamptey to avoid that predator agent.
Could you make a video about Sebastian Deisler?
I remember him from the u20 World Cup. He was phenomenal at Anderlecht, I really wanted himto come to Marseille (my favorite club) but then he gradually disappeared off the map, I had no idea his story was so tragic.
Every other year a wonder kid blows up Pele claims "he had finally found his successor" lol
man this lowkey almost made me cry
I had forgotten about him, GREAT PLAYER.

Nii Odartey Lamptey was once hailed as Pelé's "natural successor" and the next global football sensation after catching the Brazilian legend's eye at the 1989 U-16 World Cup.

I thought it was abedi Pele but it was someone even better
Sad story, but I how was any mafia or anyone involved in his professional downfall? It seems the pressure got to him and his potential never materialized. There are so many similar stories of great kids that succumb to the expectations. It is still sad a great talent didn’t develop to become a football legend, but at least he got to achieve his dream of playing professional football at the highest level
That title💀💀💀
For those of us who grew up in Ghana in the late 80s and early 90s, Lamptey in the U17 and U20 was the real deal. They sold fake plastic football simply because it had Lamptey's name on it. A shame how things ended for him...
RIP Keshi. Respect ✊
This what he happens in Ghana. Majority of the boys in are very good at football. Because some of are families don't have are backs we've just given up
This video ended too quickly, what happened after Coventry? Poor guy, obviously talented
day 2 of asking for De ligt PLEASE
its sad that Lamptey had to go through this to inspire and help others. But god chooses the strong and knew he would overcome
