I don’t think many places are like us in America 😂. A simple keep it local got me in the door. I’m 99.9% it won’t work elsewhere lol sorry

I’m actually in the process of acquiring a contract from Courier Express for accounts with Staples and Office Depot and Petsmart and some companies that are in the Florida Mall and Mall of Mellenia down here in Orlando 🤑🤑🤑 yeah get the 3 in 1 hand truck that can carry up to 800 lbs of freight (heavy boxes/ crates) .. you just got me as a SUB bro 👊🏽

Mr. Wilson, I’m sorry to hear that. I’m not sure but in worse case, You can always hire a helper. While you do driving, he does the physical work. Works well and it balances it out, but usually for local routes not OTR.

I always say; Do your research, especially in your location where you want to start. But here are the steps: For Local (My Case) Get LLC Obtain EIN # from IRS Obtain Vehicle & registered under your LLC. Get commercial insurance Open business account under your LLC If hauling out of state, some other permits may apply in your state including: MC # DOT Authority

Hey Lucky Bands, insurance will depend on the carrier, usually depends on what your transporting if is high value or not. I’m working under the insurance level they required so each company is different. As far as the van, again, depends on you, what you’re hauling, weather you stay local or not, expedite etc. theoretically speaking, the bigger the better. The more you can carry, the more money you make.

Adam, Don’t build a business on what you hear. It’s expensive but I pay nowhere near what I “heard” you gotta look into it yourself, maybe they had points on their license, DUIs, who knows. It’s slightly different for everyone in that department.

Each route has a timeline. As long as you can do it without overlapping the other timeline, you good. So I would 2 routes in the AM & one in the afternoon. For the 4th one I had to hire someone.

Good question Fame, I’m What I mean by research is: Plan ahead, look for job opportunities in your location to make sure the demand is there. Know if you wanna stay local or cross state lines because if you do, you’d need additional permits but it’s all easy to obtain. Crunch some numbers, look into insurance, will you buy or finance the van? Ask yourself all those questions & just look into it a bit to have an understanding of the business.

With all respect I do not get how companies pays hundreds to deliver....idk. 25 items. When i read companies looking for van owners they promise thousands per week but....I do not see how this works for them. Any knowledge to help me out? I did deliveries for Amazon and Fedex for 2 years.....I would like to do this making way more money but I am just....idk... I live in Seattle, Wa. Btw in case any local doing this reads me.

That will depend on your contractor. Mine doesn’t have a age limit but they do an inspection prior to make sure your van is okay & safe to operate. Mines a 2001.

It depends on your contractor. I’m working under the insurance level they required me. My friend has Staples contract but his insurance level is different because what I transport is more high dollar value than what he transports. 100k/1mil is most common to work under your LLC 👍

Hey Tony what’s up! They don’t have a location there but if you have your LLC formation ready and just need to apply, look on indeed or any other job finder app or website and use key words like: “Cargo Van” “Independent Contractor cargo van” “Courier services” Or anything of that nature.

Yes sir, the route that he does pays for himself, the weekly expenses such as gas & tolls and leaves me with a some money to play with.

How do you get the routes? How much does it cost to get started? Interested in the business.

Look them around your location, I use the app Indeed. My biggest expense was my cargo van which was $5,000 dollars.
