Abbott has been denying this funding, and refusing to allow federal border agents in for almost four years now. A big issue is that Abbott has been sending migrants who have not crossed the border yet. He and DeSantis have been sending "advocates" over to the Mexican side of the border to find people to send into the U.S. None of these people are vetted.
