How tall can you build a 1x1 domino tower in just 3 minutes? Feel free to try the challenge as much as you’d like, and keep breaking your own personal record! Submit your best attempt, and I’ll put together a highlight reel for our next Collaborative Community Compilation :)
RULES AND GUIDELINES:
🔹 Dominoes must be loose in their container to start (you may not pre-stack the dominoes)
🔹 Your 3 minute timer must be clearly visible in the video. If you need a timer, use this: • 3 Minute Countdown tim...
🔹Before starting, ensure your camera view is wide enough that you will be able to see the entire tower. If the tower goes out of frame, the attempt is considered invalid
🔹 Use a tripod to keep the camera still
🔹 Building time must not exceed 3 minutes
🔹After the 3 minute timer stops, the tower must be freestanding for at least 3 seconds to be considered a valid attempt
🔹Count the total layers on camera (a layer must have 2 dominoes - if only 1 domino remains at the top of your tower, count up until the layer beneath)
🔹Optional: Try to keep track of how many attempts you’ve made! Feel free to make a copy of this Google Sheet to record your progress: bit.ly/4aHb9NV
🔹 You may attempt the challenge as many times as you’d like, but please only submit your best attempt
🔹 Only ONE submission is allowed per person
🔹 Do not speed up the video you submit - building should be real time and unedited
🔹 Please do not add music or additional watermarks to the video
🔹Optional: If you create a separate video showing your other attempts or anything else related to this challenge, we'd love to see and potentially include in the compilation as well!
🔹 Deadline to submit your video is May 13, 2024 at 11:59PM EST
🔹 Adult supervision is recommended for kids who may be using a ladder or step stool. Hevesh5 is not responsible for any injuries that may occur as a result of participating in this challenge.

SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO (2 STEPS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
1) Post the video of your best attempt on social media (KZread, Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter) using the hashtag #H5dominocommunity in your caption. If you submit your entry through KZread, please include the number of layers you reached and how you'd like to be credited (name/username) in the video title (example title: #H5dominocommunity 1x1 Tower Challenge: 71 layers - Hevesh5). If you submit through Instagram, make sure your account is not set to private, otherwise, please use another platform. Here’s an example video submission so you can get an idea of what we’re looking for: • #H5dominocommunity 1x1...
2) Submit the video link of your best attempt at Hevesh5.com/submissions by Monday, May 13, 2024 at 11:59PM EST for a chance to be included in the final compilation video. NOTE: I cannot guarantee that all videos submitted will make it into the final compilation. Please double check that you’ve followed all rules and guidelines.

Excuse me BUT is the 1X1 a REQUIREMENT ? because that's a little itirating to me😒 . . 1st: I am the thick inovator type of domino builder and 2nd: There's NO Proof that the 1x1 is the best technique to do this with 📈📉⁉. . so please awnser why did you choose This type of tower and why are you measuring it by layers and not measuring units ?

okay it doesn't say it has to be a 1X1 in the rules but that only makes me more confused . . also also aperently refference measurements are allowed but does that give some people an unfair adwantage or not ?

If you want to focus enough to beat 71, don't talk. You can add commentary when putting the footage together or bring in friends to do the commentary, though listening might be a distraction, too. Thank you for such beautiful art, Lily!
Lily, you are one of my favorite domino artist. You have really inspired me to make different types of set ups for my KZread and for fun. This will be an interesting challenge. It's a balance of speed and precision. You can get the tower tall enough that in that amount of time that you have to worry about the stability. I might try it out with some different tower styles too, just for fun.

In the fourth attempt, I liked how the tower fell in opposite directions. I also liked when dominoes fell into you. When you fail, hope that it is funny. I do not know if I could build a tower, I would not try anything timed, and I do not expect to ever buy a tripod. I made a channel because of the contest to knock down one domino that I did in December 2019, but I am not trying this one.
Of course I'll try my best I'm super excited
2:46 when you break your personal best, you built 73 layers, and the the VERY last second it just knock down (attempt #4)

Um, sorry, but due to deadline problems, I wasn't able to finish it (made the mistake of using clear dominoes for my official attempt) so sorry about that.
Ya know you're a pro in this challenge when you need a step stool in such a short amount of⏳. Lily is the epitome of quick, steady hands, plus consistency. Time and time again reaching 70-71!😲 👍
I will participate, I’m so good at this xD Ok well I have something to clarify, what happens if I can’t show my face yet my camera should be facing towards the tower and me? Because I have self consciousness :/

Right now I'm stuck with wooden dominoes, great dominoes for building any structure (#sarcasim). BTW that's another reason I won't be doing this challenge. I did some practice tests and it kept falling around the 15th layer.

Where do you get all of your dominoes? Are they specially made for you? Because i know you use h5 domino creations but theres not all colors

Listen Lilly, instead of counting like this: 1,2,3,4,5 you just went 2,4,6,8,10 so why did you count by 2s?
Won't be able to do this challenge (yes I'm old enough its just that I have no tripod) but I wish I could!

hey it’s okay if you don’t have one! you could try leaning the camera against something or just hold it as still as possible
I’m up for this challenge, but it won’t be immediately cause I’m on the road

Ive got 98 layers
I think I’m in last place in this challenge… :( my personal best was only 42 layers
I gave it a try, best I got was 58. I only have Lampings though 😀

My maximum score in building this tower is 73 Layers! While building, I failed on 74th. But I actually built it in maybe half an hour!!!

something to keep it straight would definitely help a lot . . . or you know, build a wider base 3 dominoes per layer can go allmost 2X higher than a 2domino tower another option is: build a more stable tower that you can just slap dominoes onto with minimal risk

yup that would certainly help if you could build any kind of tower. but limiting it to us only using the 1x1 tower technique is what makes it a challenge!! 😄

@@H5dominocommunity you know, beating the height of your 71 layers with a tower of anykind in 3 minutes is a challenge and ironicaly the 1x1 might actualy be easier because differend towers have their own problems of their own at doing this altho separating the tower into several differend designs probably gives you the most height for a 3minute tower, it doesn't nececairly give you most layers while requiring similar ammount of precision to the 1x1
