Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter - now known as Suri Noelle - chose her new name to “praise her mother,” says a source. Page Six reporter Mara Siegler shares this story.
Suri didn’t just drop Cruise from her name, but is using Holmes’ middle name, Noelle, as her surname.
“She is showing praise for her mother by using her middle name,” says a source, who speculates that the 18-year-old made the change because she “wants her own identity.”

I love how all the gossip sites state that this name change was to protect her privacy autonomy yet it’s being reported all over media…
They have no idea if she changed her name legally!
Tom being out of the country for his daughter’s high school graduation tells me ALL I need to know about their relationship. Even if he says he was working, that would be BS. He’s Tom Cruise, and he could shut down production to travel to see his daughter graduate if he wanted to and/or if she wanted him there.
Imagine dropping the last name of the biggest movie star of all time.. I don’t care what the full story is. It’s messed up. These celebs are a mess.
