Super cancel is the BEST thing to get used to doing, it's changed the way I hold a controller for the better. And no you're not seeing things, sometimes the English commentary will comment on the pass/shot being good or bad before the ball has left the players foot 👍 Great content as always ✌️

Thanks, very nice of you to say, I absolutely agree! Ah, I didn't actually know about that. I disabled the commentary after they repeated that it's "The hurricane himself, Harry Kane" like 4 times in 5 minutes when Kane received the ball, had it off ever since😁

Thanks! I actually do have a video about developing players, it was before the 88 proficiency managers were introduced though. So for example, attributes getting +3 when being 85 or higher now isn't in there. Also, to avoid overcapping, assuming there are no additional boosters on the card, the value is 96 now. The game is so random currently. Makes me absolutely crazy

it was just good anticipation from vieira, how mbappes body was angled already tells him where the shot is going also addressing the ter stegen dive, he obviously stuttered right when the shot was blocked, u can see he was going to throw himself at the ball there, he obviously stopped when the shot was blocked but i think the all the momentum he had accumelated caused him to fall despite his effort to try and stop

Good point, that's definitely possible! It's pretty weird though, since Vieira actually runs backwards, he wouldn't even see when the shot was coming. Maybe just the animation being suboptiomal, it's just a game after all😀 The Ter Stegen thing is pretty interesting too, I thought if he really wanted to save the shot, he might have jumped too late already when he actually went through with his little move, but then again we could explain this by saying the shot would have just gone in. I wonder how a side-by-side would look like compared to when no player blocks it, because theoretically, if there's zero predetermination, Ter Stegen should have similar timing as here, but actually go through with any kind of saving animation, regardless whether the ball is saved or goes in.

Regarding the goalie diving. For many years (back into pes days) Konami have goalkeeper reactions to deflections completely wrong. Keepers should be reacting to the initial trajectory of the shot even if their reaction starts just after the deflection, but that’s not the case. Human reaction time is .25 seconds so the keeper should not be able to react to anything that has happened within .25 seconds. Instead efoutball keepers start the reactions after a reasonable delay (.25 seconds) after the initial shot but they react to everything that happens after that instantaneously which is completely wrong.

Have you noticed that super cancelling has been nerfed in the last couple patches? I can no longer stop player animations where they are frustrated to continue pressing, while I'm pretty sure you could do that before with super cancel.

I felt I noticed something but it was such a little deviation that I thought it was just the game being different from time to time, due to connection or whatever. It happened so few times that I couldn't really pinpoint down as to what, when and why it happened though. Could have just been my imagination, I'm not playing that much right now to really be certain.

@@PESPepe I've noticed it a ton tbh. Because usually I override the animations when you are like forced to stop chasing a ball because your player must put their hands up in frustration or whatever. And now it seems you are locked into that animation even with super cancel. It feels really bad for me unfortunately.

I think the marseille turn one I can explain because I used it a lot and I'm actually quite sad it's no longer as effective. Before, when you would use it, the defender couldn't change his momentum as quick and would still be moving into his running direction for a brief bit, which was just enough for marseille turn to pass him. Defenders seem to be able to shift directions faster since a few patches now, so they can turn and contest/take the ball most of the time.

I'm making a formation guide where all of this and more is explained, but to be fair, I tried many different playstyle and most worked fine. Most of the time I play with 3 no style CBs because these are the best players. A destroyer as a central CB worked well for me though. Build up also worked fine, and I've even played with an extra attacker (POTW Hernandez) for a long time who also did a great job. I think one has to be careful with switching to attack mode then because it could cause him to actually leave the defense and join the attack. Defensive midfielders are anchor man + destroyer, but I also tried various combinations including no style players and box-to-box players, and they also did their job, but I'd say anchor man + destroyer might have a slight edge. I gave no style and box to box players a defensive instruction in my defensive midfield. I think the best option for the CMF position is a box-to-box player, although I also tried a hole player which seems to be a bit more offensive. Outside AMFs are either no style, hole player or creative playmaker. My usual preference here is a no style player on one side and a hole player/creative playmaker on the other side. One of my forwards is a deep-lying forward, which I like in general, and the other one has no style. Sometimes I use a Goal Poacher too. I can't really say how well a Fox in the Box would work because I don't really have a good one to use. As for instructions, defensive on 1 DMF is a possibility, and I also like to use counter-target on Messi because he is irreplacable to me. If the opponent skips the midfield quick or plays a wide offensive formation, either give the defensively better DMF a deep line instruction or switch to a 4 man defence sub-tactic, possibly with a change to long ball counter, depending on how your opponent plays. There's quite a lot more, but I'll make sure the video covers it.

Yeah, there were quite a few scenes where he got super unlucky, I felt really bad for him at this point as I said in the video. He was even one of the possession players who were actually competent at it, hope he at least had better luck the following games.
